SWSheets doesn't have a setting for Pantorans. Sadness.

I don't know why it doesn't let you just type in the species—especially since homebrew species are relatively common.

It does. You can just type in a species name. I had to do that for my Kyuzo, which hasn't been added to the site yet, either.

...apparently it does, huh! Thank you!

I was wondering how you did that

Starting obligation with be 5 for everyone.

I have a request of all of you.

Can you outline how you used your experience and credits similar to the way that sonovabith did with Tion, or how I did with a former character (don't worry, this is the Erza that will be a GM character, but is going to be altered heavily)? I have found an outline like this makes it way easier to follow and find issues should there be any.

Typing this up I do have a question for about your gear and how many credits you should be starting with, especially when you say that you took the extra 10 for the xp. I do recall you saying you might have to alter his gear.

Right, the game I originally built him for gave us extra credits to start with. I have to figure out how I'm going to rebalance his equipment for the different starting credits here. I'd meant to today, but i ran out of time. I'll make sure to do so tomorrow.

Don't worry too much about getting it done quickly. My plate is rather full right now so I'm having a hard time myself getting everything settled and ready to go

I noticed that you accidentally chose Toydarian rather than Trandoshan. Which made me chuckle, given the character. I want a murderous Toydarian in the group!

Please change your character to a Toydarian, it would be the best character ever.

I used my 90xp to bring my brawn up to 5 from 3 and I'm taking an extra obligation for extra starting credits for a vibro ax and gear.

Okay, Kimbo Bex is ready, complete with gear, Obligation, Motivations, a brief background, and a complete breakdown of all XP and credits spent.

EDIT: Just so we're clear, when you say we're starting at 5 Obligation, does that counter what you said earlier, when you told us we could do up to 10 additional Obligation? If so, I may need to go back and rearrange some things on Kimbo. (So I guess the question is: We start with 5 Obligation. Are we house-ruling it so we take 10 more (up to 15 total) or just 5 more, per the CRB? I did 5 and 10 because that's what this thread seemed to suggest, but am fine with reducting it to 5 and 5 (gaining credits rather than XP) if we're going to follow the CRB.)

Yeah....Trandoshan wasn't an option so i had to compensate.

It's weird that Trandoshan wasn't an option, since they're in the core rulebook. However, all you have to do is click where it says "Toydarian" and type in "Trandoshan" and you'll be good to go.

Done, thanks man

You are right that we are 'house ruling' the max of 10 additional. After I said it I went back and checked and I saw that you can't take more than the initial obligation amount but I had already told a few people 10, so we are going to with that with that. Once I get an idea what the total obligation will be I will adjust the initial to be something like a 1d200 to stick with the the intended 'groups with start somewhere around 40-60 out of a 100' mindset.

I knew 9 players would be an undertaking.

Thanks for the Obligation clarification. (That sounds like the title for an episode of The Big Bang Theory!)

The other snag there is the rule that if a group goes over 100 obligation they can't spend XP until it falls below that threshold. Houserule it to 200?

For a group this size with as much Obligation as we're going to have... yeah, definitely. Either that or do away with the "can't spend XP" rule.

Maybe to simplify it we can do something like 1 starting obligation and then the added, theoretically would bring us to about 99 obligation...

I had intended on doing something like the 200 option or a number that would put our starting obligation at about 50% of the max

OK, Tion is tweaked. I made it simple and did 5 obligation for 5 XP and 5 obligation for 1,000 credits, so instead of having to completely refigure all of his purchases I simply dropped the 5 xp grit talent.

I'll try and do that soon.

Down the line things like obligations would change right?

Yes, if you are able to complete or resolve whatever you may have.

Updated to show my math

I'm interested in how you managed these. *chuckles* Especially that energy bow for only 200cr.

I was having the same issue with your gear Avalon, I messaged you about it, but this is a sort of reminder. I'm perfectly fine with you eventually getting these items, but not starting off with them.
