Wingmates for ragin Keyan

Here's what I'm currently running:

I'm pretty happy with Braylen, but I'm not sure about Wes. I had him in for x7s, but I don't see many of them. I see a lot of large base scum and tlts. What are good alternates for Wes? I could run a tlt? Drop sensors from Keyan to get a decent Poe? Lothal with ABT?

Heff Tober as a blocker could give you a little bit of the utility you wanted from Wes, and with Tactical Jammer he could help Keyan live longer.

What I would suggest, if you're not seeing a lot of x7's, is Psycho Celchu.

Tycho Celchu w/ Push the Limit, Chardaan Refit, Autothrusters, A-Wing Test Pilot, Rage

Rage for Tycho is basically just a Target Lock + Focus, and with Push the Limit, you get an additional action on top of that (usually evade, sometimes boost). It's not as consistent as Wes' auto-strip, not by a country mile. But it IS a very agile craft, that is incredibly difficult to tear down. Rerolls, a fat token stack, ATs, a dial comparable to a TIE, and it does not care about stress.

It's a flat 30 points, so with Keyan and Braylen, it just squeezes into 100 points. Not good if you were looking to bid, but then there has to be a trade-off somewhere. Plus, with Tycho, you'll have a list where everyone has a Y in their names.

I would add a bomber K-wing instead of the X-wing

While I love Awings; I feel they don't have a place in this meta. 2 red dice isn't enough against ships tokened up or beefy ships. As for the Kwing I like to joust with this build,

I like Heff as a possible replacement. The thought would be to joust with the other 2, then lay down bombs to make it harder for the enemy to position well while his less agile wingmen regroup for another joust. What do you think of this loadout?

Heff with Extra munitions, tactical jammer, Jyn, Sabine, title, cluster mines (I had to drop the sensors from Keyan).

I'm a bit worried I'm swapping my only PS10 answer to aces to pick up a bomber. Would a TLT not be more effective? Maybe Roark in an HWK with TLT?

You don't have to run the pilot skill race. Low PS with mines is a counter to high PS because you can drop the mines effecitvely before the high PS ships move.

Heff now gives Keyan and braylen an extra green dice. With Jan Ors, that focus Keyan gets from rage (which he doesnt need) can be turned into an evade now. So he will have an evade and two green dice + sensor jammers. Advance sensors + Jan Ors lets Heff get an evade and go into landing mode, then following turn can advance sensors focus/target lock and turn around. Zeb crew protects from things like attani mindlink shenanigans bumping into your large base so it cant return fire and firing at Keyan/Braylen. With Heffs ability + zeb, you get a full range 1 shot if they try that.

I like your Heff, but without turning him into a bomber I feel I lose a valuable asset against aces. Not to mention he's then so cheap I can't figure out what else to run =P.

What is the point of advanced sensors? 3 points to make sure you can do an action before you bump?

Yea, adv sensors and ram Heff into tight spots, make people bump him so they lose actions and he gets them. Uwing is clunky and will bump things alot. Can also adv sensors and then land on debris. And helps doing the 180 also. Heff + Zeb is just awesome, dont think I will ever run him without Zeb. Just brutal when someone bumps him. 4 dice with TL and Focus on a non focused ship.

Keep Wes. 100% keep him. He strips Dengar's focus (not spends), so no Overclocked R4 shenanigans for the rest of the round. Great vs. X7 AND Dengaroo makes him a perfect addition imo.

Wes also strips TLs, and things like Bossk + K4 + Clusters/HM is popular right now as well. Kills that lists alpha strike
