I just want to complain (I demand answers!)

By Mackaywarrior, in X-Wing

So the Imperial Assault Carrier ruined my life. Being able to physically dock TIEs to the base changed my life and not for the better. Now every time I want to fly Hound's Tooth or the Ghost I find myself wonder "Where does the Z-95 and Attack Shuttle come from?".

This really isn't ruining my life but the curiosity is killing me.

Well when a man loves a woman...

well the attack shuttle is glued to the ghost's ass like an eternally stuck turd, so problem solved there

the YV is a flying tumor, so the z-95 is probably lodged sideways in there

Well that was exactly the answer I wanted. Glad my click bait title worked lol

Clearly you have never watched an episode of Star Wars Rebels.

FOR SHAME!

Hope those videos help to show where they fit together.

Now go watch Rebels!

The sad part is I have but it never clicked lol

I've seen someone mod their Ghost so that the little Phantom attached to the model can slide out. I seem to remember that the Pup had folding wings or something and fit in the Hound's Tooth's cargo bay. It would be a fairly easy mod job to get a Z-95 to attach to the back part of the YV-666 (near the wingy bit).

Understandable.

I read somewhere it got better from "Empire Day" and so I put up with the silliness. Now I'm hooked and just watched season two. I don't get Disney XD. But without the promise of it getting better, which I felt it did, I'd of stopped watching when fruit was used to take out Stormtroopers.

The first episode was painful: "who is that kid?" "Who is that kid?" "Who are those people?" Gahhh! I just want to turn Sith and Force Choke someone.

Completely understand people who choose not to watch it.

I did the same. Thrawn being introduced was enough for me. Watched it all and have enjoyed the second half of the series lol. Just never payed attention to the shuttle I guess.

You can mount a Z-95 on one of the 2 Vertical facing holes on the back end between the wings. Just place the Z-95's peg nub in one of the 2 holes (does not work with pegs)

Point of order, CR-90s have been modified to carry fighters before in Legends (Hi, Wraith Squadron.) Tantive IV never had such mods. The Docking clamp piggyback thing is also pretty normal in general, and can hardly be called "carrying" fighters in a combat sense. But FFG's RPG line for-instance (which EotE was published before the canon split, IIRC) suggests if your party owns a snubfighter with no hyperdrive, they can just clamp it to a larger ship to piggyback.

To be fair, I didn't see any CR-90s carrying starfighters in that video. The Phoenix Home, which is a Pelta-class command ship, was carrying the A-Wings in its hangar bay, but it's no CR-90 corvette.

CR-90 corvettes do carry A-Wings in Star Wars Rebels, mostly in episodes between losing Phoenix Home and gaining an Imperial Carrier. Tantive IV is a consular ship so having fighters attached would be suspect.

Try this clip

Didn't the CR-90 in Revenge of the Sith pick up Grievous' starfigther? Or was that not a CR-90?

Hmmm. This coming from the guy who worships ARCs? I think you need glasses because you obviously don't know beauty when it strikes.

I'm teasing, by the way. We all have our different tastes.

Wrong video, New forum and YouTube makes posting difficult (hence the hyperlink instead of the embedded video). But there was a part in Rebels where A-wings were docked to the side of a CR-90 and detached.

We did some measurements a while back and figured out a Z-95 wouldn't fit.

You want to know the truth? The guys working on it originally, had no clue what they were talking about.

Well, IIRC, the Legends YV is 60 meters ish (I/E length of a Gozanti), but TCW means the canonical length akin to what it is in X-Wing is 40-something meters, which might explain a discrepancy.

That and writers at various times have had no goddamn clue how big Zs are supposed to be. There's one mention of a bounty hunter or something with a modified one that seats 9 people - somehow.

I guess they were all loaded in a trailer? Or stapled on?

That was a CR70.

A case of Lucas Film messing up the proportions of a ship (the admitted they took the wrong schematics for the "CR90" in RotS). And thus the CR70 was born. CR90s are 150m long and sleek. CR70s are 124m long and stubbier than the CR90.

This also leads to the facto they had to retcon it to be not the Tantive IV. Instead in Legends it was retconned to be the Sundered Heart.

In Disney there is only the CR90 (and all are 124m long) leading to some discrepancies with the different models.

If CR-90s are now (however wrongly) 124m, that makes the scale of the Tantive IV Epic Ship for X-Wing a little closer to how it should be (in Disney Canon anyway).

I want to complain about your complaining!!! Clickbait challenge accepted.

I also am saddened that so many do not get to experience Clone Wars (Netflix) nor Rebels (Disney XD). They really are good Season 2 and later. They also make X-Wing more fun to play.

As some podcasters point out, now you look at the game and most people can't even associate or recognize the ships.....Unless they watch Clone Wars and Rebels.

Anyway, we know the Epic ships on the table is the REAL seller of X-Wing. GO EPIC.

I heard the Nashta Pup was originally a different unidentified ship, and FFG just used a Z-95 since that was already a ship in the game.
