But no, Luke(crew) and Gunner are no rerolls. I can only guess that's what you meant, right?

Also, Luke turns an eye that was rolled into a <boom>. So Dark Curse is ineffective here.

Correct. Gunner and Luke are not rerolls, much as they're often described that way. They're entirely new attacks, so Dark Curse's ability has no way to prevent them happening.

And as noted, Dark Curse also doesn't stop Luke's effect of changing an eye result. Nor, for instance, would he stop Poe's ability from working.
