That's a combination of Robo Cop and the Terminator. That's also the name of his team which tested in a scrimmage skirmish against Johnny Rebs, the team made up of tough as nails Elite Rebel Troopers and Echo Base Troopers, along with their coach Gridiron Gideon Argus and his assistant coach C3P0. Now before we get started, full disclosure, this was not a sanctioned event and I didn't use command cards. I don't think under normal circumstances, IG-88s team would have won, but I enjoyed the test anyway.
The map was Anchorhead Cantina, the mission was Gaining Favor. One of these days I will properly test this. I'm not very experienced playing rebels, so no doubt many things happened that would otherwise not happen. The goal was really just to test IG-88, and he proved pretty darn capable. The Robo-IG-88ors won 41 - 20, but that is because IG-88 got some killer rolls assisted by relentless. At one point he was like the Terminator, moving 2 steps, killing a trooper, getting back behind an HK. I spent the first round getting as many troopers focused as I could. I darted out and got 3 of the objectives right away, granting me 10 VP, and preparing for the onslaught, trying to move into positions that would not give Rebel Troops their aim bonus.
Anyway, I can't do the whole play by play because I'm up to late. I roll by putting all the applicable attack and defense dice into a nice dice cup, shaking it and turning it over. Throughout the course of the match I got one X man, which saved an Elite Trooper from a pretty nasty Trandoshan droid attack. 1 blank, which was rolled by Greedo during slow on the draw, but the reg. Echo Base trooper didn't have enough range when he rolled his red and green. And then the normal mix of white dice.
IG-88 ended the match with 10 health gone. I'm sure that would have been different with command cards. It sucks not having recovery. I was thinking about bringing MHD-19, but then I have to pay for Temp Alliance, and I may as well get Gideon too, and I'm not a huge fan of uniques being on opposing sides. It would have made the whole team different. And really, is MHD-19 worth it?
