Gold Squadron's Regionals Redemption Event.
We at Gold Squadron understand that many are traveling to participate in the Regional Championships and we greatly appreciate that. The level of excitement for this year’s Regional has totally blown us away and we really want to reward those who are traveling out for this weekend. We also want to have a few events for those who may not want to play in the long grind of a regional championship or those who simply can't make it out for the main event. The redemption event is also a chance for those who didn't place as high as they would have liked and are looking to have another shot at victory! Therefore we are offering two Regional Side events that players can partic
ipate in and earn unique prizes.
The first of of those events is the Regional Warm Up event which will be held on Friday February 3rd from 7-10 pm. You can find all the information for this event here...
The Second of these events is the Regional Redemption Event which will be held on Sunday February 5th from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. This event will be four rounds of Swiss play with a participation prize for everyone in attendance. The participation card for this event is a special Alt Art commissioned by famous Magic artist RK Post. This is the first and only time RK post has ever done Star Wars Art and we are very grateful he was willing to take up this commission. The Card for this event will be my favorite Star Wars Character Anakin’s Skywalker’s apprentice Ahsoka Tano. It is part of a series of two cards that create one image of Darth Vader fighting Ahsoka on Mustafar when combined. Every player will get the Darth Vader card as participation in the main event. The Ahsoka Card will be participation prizes for our Warm Up & Redemption event. If you didn’t get a chance to play in the main event but play in both of our side events you can choose either Darth Vader or Ahsoka to complete the set.
Prizes for the Redemption tournament will be based on each player’s individual record. Basically all players who finish 4-0 will receive the same prizes and the same goes for those who finish 3-1, 2-2, etc. Additional prizes will be added to this event based on attendance. The format will be 100 point dog fight so you can practice your tournament list or try out some of the newest ships just released in Wave X. This event is really meant to be a fun side event for what shall be a great weekend of X-Wing. Space in the Warm Up event will be limited to 64 players and registration is live for that event. The Redemption event will only have onsite registration only but we will have much more space that the 64 slots for the Warm Up event.
