Gencon 2010

By SaintAndSinner, in Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay

Is FF planning any events/games for Gencon? I go every year and usually run/play a bunch of games I can't get locally. Would love to jump into some WFRP luv. B-)

What's everyone else's plans? Event registration is supposed to open today so I'm thinking about games to run and play.

FFG normally runs games during the con. In fact they have several tables in the dealer area that are always full of people playing their games. I might get down there for a day.

FFG typically runs lots of Demo games at GenCon, but it's up to us to make sure there's a good amount of longer WFRP games.

The first Event Submission cycle is the end of this month, and it's very worth it to get into the first two cycles if possible.

Yeah, I know the drill. I would love to play WFRP but not sure I'm up for running it with out more practice. Any one know if FF will have any help for those who want to GM?

I'll be there and would love to play in a game or two.

I'll be there and am very willing to run or play in pickup games.

I'm two hours north of indy. Does anyone live in southern michigan or northern Indiana?

I plan on going this year, and want to get in on WFRP!

If there's nothing official (and someone brings their box) you could always by Games on Demand (I'm one of the organizers). It's basically a bunch of tables available for gaming on a show up and play basis (generic tickets only). Its mostly indie/small press games but anyone can show up and organize something if they'd like.

I went for the 1st time to indy last year 2009. FFG tables were only demos but they had a conference room where you could play with people. They did not seem focus at all in that room. Did not see any events setup. Most of the staff was in the merchant hall demoing stuff. I mainly went to check out their both and see if they had anything cool on sell but I was very disappointed that they only had what I could get at my local store. I did get to get a sneak peek at WRPG and Tailmans Frost march but then again it was in a glass shelf.
