First Systems Open!

By Timathius, in X-Wing

So the first of this year's system opens is going on this weekend in San Antonio. Anybody know of any streams that are going to be happening? Also, if anyone that is going could post a picture of the standings at the end of swiss I would really appreciate it!

lastly, you guys are getting the best mat, sooooo if someone wants to trade for a naboo mat plus maybe something extra..........

I'm happy with the Naboo mat I'll get, at least there's some color on that planet. Some of the locals wanted the Hoth one, but I can just look out the window if I want to see snow ;)

I'm hoping it'll be streamed and/or recorded, hopefully someone finds out something about that.

Eh its just so earth like I guess is my problem. Mustafar and Hoth look alien I guess and that helps suspend reality.

I really like the Mustafar mat, but going to USA for an open is to far and expensive to travel. Ill have to settle for the Naboo mat.

Slightly related. Does anyone know if the text in the top left corner on the pictures is just graphic or is it actually there on the physical mats?

I don't think anyone posting here will know for sure til the weekend, but I'd assume it's printed on the mat itself.

Naboo is also in the USA, though I am assuming a lot closer to wherever you are than San Antonio. It also seems like it is going to be the largest of the events.

I'm going to Kashyyyk but would love a Mustafar mat

I meant Tatooine, no idea why i typed Naboo :D

well that at least looks a bit different as well. I am pumped for the prize support overall though. They really out did themselves.

The tickets for Tatooine went on sale less than 5 hours ago and all 300 were apparently sold out within an hour or two.

I hope you managed to snag one in time.

More like ~20 minutes, not counting the occasional ticket becoming available again due rejected payments or cancelled transactions.

One must love the crazyness of this country when it comes to major tournaments. The foreigner invasion has helped tho :P

I also heard they lasted 20'. I guess I'm lucky to have mine!

Have tickets for Adepticon Hoth gone on sale yet?

I managed to get mine in the first 10 but wasn't sure what was going on as even an hour later friends of mine were buying theirs XD

You should go to Endor. They sent an email a few weeks ago dropping the price by $20. I can only assume they were having a hard time selling tickets?

Going to be bittersweet, though. It takes place at the Emerald City Comic-Con. The guest of honor this year was supposed to be Carrie Fisher. ;_;

Small problem for some palyers might be that Tatooine is in Europe, while Endor this year is in USA :) Not so easy with quick plan change ;)

Well, IMHO this is the result of having only 3 SoS in Europe, and also this being the last one, so if you missed Madrid, there would be no other chance.

I'm happy to be one of the lucky bastards that will bring home a mat :D

Anybody know if there will be streaming of this today?

Tickets have been on sale for a while and are still available.

At the time of this writing, there are 207 Tickets available for the Thursday flight, and 190 for the Friday flight. It's also a little more expensive this year. You have to buy a $30 ticket to play in events and Adepticon and then $25 for the Hoth ticket. Last year the entrance ticket was cheaper, they had different tiers of entrance fees.

Could you link to where the Hoth tickets are going on sale at? Sounds like I need to scurry on over there pretty quick!

Wow, that sounds like a lot of tickets left. What is the max for each day?

I don't think Hoth will be as busy this year. Last year I think it was the only one in the U.S. I played with people from all across the country. I'm not sure if there will be as many people as there are closer events this year.

True, and there is World's just a couple of months later, too. A lot of big events packed into six months.

I don't see any streaming setups at Mustafar.
