Vinto + Rapid Fire + Draw ! = 3 attacks?

By Cpt Barbarossa, in Star Wars: Imperial Assault

Hi all,

Had a quick look to see if the question had already been asked, but haven't found the answer. I'm a new player so this might be an obvious "no" question, but i wanted to be sure, since I was recently told I couldn't do the following combo, though to me it seems quite obvious:

Vinto Hreeda can perform two attacks thanks to his "Rapid Fire" action. His title card "Draw!" allows him to perform an attack without using an action. Since the rules state that " Attacking: Figures can only use one of their actions to attack per activation", this means his title card does NOT count as an attack action?

As I understand it therefore, Vinto can move, attack using "Draw!", then use his Rapid Fire ability to perform two more attacks?

Have I missed something basic?

Thanks!

correct

Thank you! Glad to see i've grasped the fundamental basics of the game  and single purpose doesn't work on attack actions? I seem to recall there being a notion that certain cards can overrule the golden rules of IA (here I am hoping that Vinto can perform 5 attacks in one turn LOL!)

you can only use one ACTiON to attack (that special action may actually be 2 attacks like Brutality or Rapid Fire) DRAW! doesn't require an action so it gets around that rule and doesn't count against his 2 actions.

Single Purpose works with special actions containing attacks if you also have Assault, but not otherwise.

(Single Purpose only lets you use the special action twice, it does not do anything to the attack action limit.)

And for some added awesomeness, he gets to activate Boltslinger on each of the three attacks, to toss up to three additional damage on closeby enemies.
