I'm totally new to this so bear with me for sounding like a complete imbecile....but

I can see you get 7 basic action cards, if your stats allow. How do you get more action cards? Like, how are they purchased, achieved...which one's do you get to choose from?

Hurry to purchase the Core Set while it is still available - you can get one for 65$. There you'll have many cards from the basic set.
Then during you character creation you spend creation points to acquire up to 4 action cards (in addition to 8 basic action cards).
Then during the play you may spend advances on getting even more action cards.

Yes, you could use shipping agents like qwintry perhaps. But that would cost you something.

eBay is always a good alternative to Amazon for things like the Core set.
