TIE Reaper
Yeah the ones krennic deployed looked like that.
Sorry undead wrong ship. We clearly are talking about the other fighters deployed on scariff.

This is different. It is more of a troop carrier. I believe in the movie it dropped off the Deathtroopers
Maybe he should read the post instead of just trolling.
This one is different from TIE Striker (elongated hull that contained a trooper pod) and yes, it was present in the movie.

Ummmm what? The OP says:
This just showed up in EA's Galaxy of Heroes
I thought I saw a craft like this is the battle of Scariff. Can anyone confirm?
I thought he was refering to the Tie Striker. No need to get aggressive because the OP was unclear and did not say he was not asking about the Striker.

There is a picture though, that is clearly not a Striker. It even says TIE Reaper.
It could be an honest mistake though, so I believe no hostility is intended on either side.
I think this is the first time I've seen this dropship get a name.
I'd still prefer the DX-9 Stormtrooper Transports myself, but I also get that the Imperial Army wants their own equipment as well. If the TIE Strikers are supposed to be experimental for Scarif, maybe these things are too?

Right, but you said you thought you saw a craft like this. The Striker does look very similar to that. The body is jsut shorter. And I don't know what Galaxy of Heroes is. Figured it was an older game by the quality of the picture and that implied to me it was from the EU. I thought Disney lifted the design out of the EU and remade the Striker.
Galaxy of Heroes is a mobile game that came out in 2015. It's an EA product, so it falls under new canon.
I hate that Galaxy of Heroes counts more as canon then say the Thrawn Trilogy or the Rogue Squadron and that EA can actively contribute to the canon
But I can't be too upset if they keep making EU ships canon again.
Niiiice, so the Tie dropship has a name and a pretty good one for that matter. Yeah, I'm liking it, and the striker. But that's the Deathtrooper dropship alright.

Yes. It's escorted in by Strikers and unloads the black troopers.
To the 3D modeling cave!

Do you have TIE Strikers?
Of course, even before the movie came out.
It's done for X-Wing. Tomorrow I will do the Armada version.

Does this mean *gasp* we can start that...boarding actions....thread again : D
Edited by TelochYes. Like we saw in Rogue One, all you have to do is disable (destroy) a ship, then your admiral can board it.
If he happens to be a Jedi it's much cooler.

But it doesnt board. However it could be that we see a TIE Boarding craft in the movie:

It's probably a bit of a stretch to say EA is actively contributing to the canon. It's more likely that the story group said "here are some new ships that you can use in your game" than that EA was like "here's a totally new obscure TIE for our dumb mobile game," and then story group said "well shoot, guess it's canon now."
