The Rebellion 101st (AKA First Armada build)

By RStan, in Star Wars: Armada Fleet Builds

Hello everyone. I'm taking my first steps into Armada and played a couple of games in which I borrowed a friend's models/list to play to try out the game. It's pretty fun and I'm looking forward to playing more of it. I recently acquired some expanion packs from an primary Imperial player that wanted to get rid of his Rebels. In terms of what I have (going to have soon) is the Assault Frigate, Nebulon, CR90, Home One, 2 MC30cs, 2 Rogues and Villains packs (only Rebels), 1 Rebel Fighter I Pack, 2 extra A-Wings, 4 extra X-Wings and a Core Set. Anyway, below is the list!

Nebulon-B Support Refit (Flagship): 51 pts

- General Dodonna: 20 pts

- XI7 Turbolasers: 6 pts

- Salvation: 7 pts

MC80 Command Cruiser: 106 pts

- Wing Commander: 6 pts

- Boosted Comms: 4 pts

- Electronic Countermeasures: 7 pts

- Leading Shots: 4 pts

MC30c Torpedo Frigate: 63 pts

- Ordnance Experts: 4 pts

- Assault Proton Torpedoes: 5 pts

- H9 Turbolasers: 8 pts

- Foresight: 8 pts

A-Wing Squadron (x3): 33 pts

Tycho Celchu: 16 pts

Han Solo: 26 pts

Dash Rendar: 24 pts

Objectives: Hyperspace Assault, Dangerous Territory, Opening Salvo

TOTAL PTS: 398

Overall strategy is to flank with the MC30c while the MC80 + Squadrons move up in the meat of the battle while the Nebulon flagship snipes from behind. Squadrons are just designed to disrupt and destroy other squadrons, especially the bomberballs. Thoughts are appreciated, but please remember the list of stuff I have and that I'm limited to only those ships/upgrades. Thank you!

Drop wing commander for Defiance. Once you have played several games you should be able to predict better when to squadron command. You could take skilled first officer too if you need a little insurance against picking the wrong command.

I also prefer Foresight on Scout MC30s and Admonition on the Torp version as it tends to get in closer.
