Question: Jedi Knight Luke without vest

By Arttemis, in Imperial Assault Painting and Modification

Sorry, this isn't a painting thread, just a question. Has anyone tried to slice off the vest on Jedi Knight Luke's figure? I don't have any of Jabba's Realm figures yet, and I still have 30+ figures unpainted from everything up to this wave (and none of my figures have painted bases because I'm undecided on base colors per faction), but I think that would be the route I'd go with Luke.

Has anyone seen anything like that?

It looks like you'd remove it from his back, shoulders, chest, and legs... It seems doable, but I was wondering if anyone here has attempted as much.

Might just be easier to get one of the ones from WOTC without the vest instead.

I was wondering why they did that, myself. He doesn't ever wear a vest like that. Anakin does, in Ep.3, but never Luke.

There is art of Luke wearing the vest though, on the 'Perry' card. Looks like Anakin.

Seems weird they would make that choice...

This was discussed at length earlier but he wears the vest over his tunic all the way through the Tatooine sequence in Jedi.

I would be really impressed with anyone who is able to cut that off of him.

I have trouble cutting off the "seam" lines on minis like the imperial officer. Slicing off that vest and smoothing it out would be quite a feat.
