Sato MC80

By Dewbacca, in Star Wars: Armada Fleet Builds

Hi guys, any thoughts on the following for a Regional? My local meta is pretty crazy on the squadron killers, so this is built to have decent first strike potential along with survivable squads. I'd originally had an Assault MC80 in here for the double defensive fitting, however in my practice matches I've found my squadrons were getting wiped out too quickly so added some points onto them.

AFFM has been disappointing for me honestly, as I think I used it once per game and for the rest of the match the ships were all close enough to each other that no other use were needed. With Speed 3 ships, you'll reach your target on turn 2 in most scenarios, AFFM or not. If you had B-Wings and YT-1200 on the other hand, I'd say otherwise. I can't help but feel your list will lack firepower, especially considering that the Pelta dies extremely fast. And, you need APTs on that Pelta, stat.

You're right, in various practice matches the Pelta dies before making much impact and I can#t land enough damage. Luckily the MC80 has always been safe. I figured I was getting too hung up on running Sato and what with people avoiding the MC80 I figured I could make that more maneuverable with Madine. Squadrons still built with survivability in mind. Hopefully Nym can snag a defense token away from Defiance's target at some point :)
