Stay on target

By Jannie Maritz, in X-Wing Rules Questions

Hello! there is a debate in my group on whether or not you can use stay on target to change the same manuever you reveal to a red manuever. the main argumwnt is around the phrasing and use of the word "another".

Any help to clarify would be appreciated!

That's right. "Another" can't be the current one.

"Another" is pretty self explanatory here.

I think the OP is asking about changing the set maneuver to a red maneuver. If this is the case, then yes you can change it to a red maneuver and you only get one stress token.

No, that's the point. You may not simply change the revealed manoeuvre to red. If you reveal a 3-straight then Stay on Target must change the dial to something other then 3-straight if it is used. You can't just turn the same manoeuvre red because that wouldn't be changing the dial to 'another manoeuvre'.

When you reveal a maneuver, you may rotate your dial to another maneuver with the same speed.

Treat that maneuver as a red maneuver.

You would change it do "Another" maneuver of the "Same Speed"

.......And yes, You CAN change a Straight 3 that you have selected, to the available and not yet selected K-Turn 3 on the dial..... and treat it as red, (which is great, because guess what, it already is!)

And, if you want the Stress, you can dial up that 3K, and then any all your 3s are red, Huzzah!
