You can dump countless hours of your life into it like any other game. But survival/builder games are really fun. Factorio is my favorite but I really want to get Rim World. There is something addicting to the grind of progression while trying to stay alive.

Hello, I have been watching a number of your YouTube videos on the CC Campaign and I have a suggestion for your Rebel opponent. He is absolutely right, his ship game seems to be good, though I personally would keep my ships in more of a formation but his squadron game is seriously in need of help.

He doesn't seem to know what he wants to do with them from the start. Are they an Offensive Bomber, an Anti-Squadron Offensive to earn those points or are they just a Throw Away Screen? He appears to be taking a mix bag of fun looking Squadrons but then uses them counter to their main strengths. Like I saw him use Luke to be a fighter screen which is a waste of his points. If Luke isn't going on a bomb run don't waste the points buying him. Same with his Lancers, he's sending them in as a screen but they are light weights that get destroyed fast. Same with most of his choices, he isn't creating a theme to go on. He needs his Squadrons to work off each other but they are just not.

Honestly from how he's using them he would be better off just taking vanilla X-Wings (most versatile squadron in the game, good on defense or offense) with Biggs and Jan. That will get him a fighter screen that will survive some heavy hitting and will take down some squadrons with him. And it will be cheaper than what he is spending now.

Now of course this is too late for this campaign but for his future games he should slow down and stop looking for expensive tricky Squadrons and instead look to make all his Squadrons work together. It's in the end a Team game where all the parts work together and not an Individuals game where ships and squadrons work on their own.

I have some good ideas that I am willing to share if he wants on different builds that will work with his play style and it sounds like the Squadron Game is frustrating him to no end.

Even though I'm not playing with Steven, I would love to hear your different builds for the squadron game. It is the biggest part of the game that I cannot wrap my brain around since wave 5 dropped. It is almost like I am paralyzed by choice at this point. There is so many interesting squadrons to take I end up not know what I want to do with them.

did yall use the wrong mission at corfai? isnt it an imp base? why did yall do the yellow ion cannon objective instead of the base one?

Haha we totally did. We caught it a few minutes in but just rolled with it. I tried to be prepared so I had everything laid out including the objectives! We just went on autopilot.
