So I'm also holding things up as I had a recent crises of careers... Hopefully I'll sort it out this weekend.
Feel free to wade in on the conversation
BOOM:
I'll get you an OOC soon. Start rollin 'dem destiny points.
Oooooo ok the pressures on for me!!!!!!
If you want to have been an all around crack techie, you could always do it with RP, say that you've had a rough enough time in slavery that you're a bit nuts, now, and don't have access to some of those skills in your brain...
Wooo!
Is the enslaved member one of us, or an NPC? Also, we should probably get a OOC thread going as well, with your permission.
By all means, I will post a few things in the OOC later today, but if you want to start one now, you're welcome to. I thought Shard was in Hutt slavery at the moment, yes?
Yes sir I am

Yup, that was my brain fart, sorry! And the main thing I wanted to know in the OOC thread is if the Alliance gave us any weapons to go in the briefcases. Gersts only weapon right now is his sniper rifle which is enc 4, way over the 2 of a heavy blaster pistol.
If there was any choice at all, he probably would have requested a DR-45 Dragoon, since it has a folding stock that would let him put his rifle skills to use.
This is the rebellion, baby. Do we look like we're MADE of money? They'll loan... LOAN you a heavy blaster. That's it. They already gave you a VERY expensive car...

Fiiiiiiine, I'll make do. Thank the maker for True Aim!
You can waste time with your friends once you've raided the slave quarters of a Hutt palace.

Hahahha!
As an aside,I'm waiting for Shard to finalize things before posting. Also, if we're going to try anything more subtle than busting out the guns as we stand right there in the slave quarters, we should plan it out. As "TaggeCo", what was the cover for our presence here? Buying slaves?
They gave you credentials as purchasers, left the rest up to you. TaggeCo would buy slaves, but only on the way down-low. More likely they'd buy spice, star wars amphetamines to keep workers awake for ungodly long shifts, or some such. Up to you.
I'm thinking Echo should be the driver/chauffeur, I can't really see a Kyuzo business-person(being?)... can you? Plus he has a rank in planetary driving.
Also as a side note, keshalyi when we get access to the rest of our gear, how do you intend to rule on the deflection rules of the Kyuzo war shield, in terms of when it would provide bonus'? Since it's normally worn as a hat/helmet.

I don't have the book for Kyuzo, is there rules on the shield, there?
Yes, it appears in the melee weapons section, I ask since whenever one is seen in use it acts as a helmet except when in combat, and the book doesn't say much of anything about that except that the idea started as a headpiece. In the clone wars episode "Bounty Hunters" it's seen in use while still being worn as a helmet, but that's the only time I can remember it being used while still being a helmet. The other time I can remember it being used as a shield is in "Eminence"
Ah. I'll take it as Def 1, if you like, assuming you are trained as a Kyuzo warrior. Someone not trained as a Kyuzo warrior does not gain the benefits. And I take with that, that the practicioner of this art will be recognizable in battle whether or not they are wearing the helmet as being thusly trained, though that will hardly matter to you.
That sounds good since Echo is part of a small Clovoc (group of warriors). I put most of the rules for it on the character sheet, when being used as a weapon it has defensive 1 and deflection 2, which is why I asked if it would do anything while a helmet.
EDIT: Also I'd be fine with certain situations removing the defense from wearing the shield (since the book doesn't say much), when using it as the primary weapon would provide all (or most) of the defensive/deflection rules.
Edited by Imperial StormtrooperNir won't pause in taking point on this little exercise. He is experienced with negotiations with Hutts and in his mind is the obvious one to resolve this without causing problems.
Ah the pressure!.
Ok I'm hitting the books right now!
I'll have something up asap.
Sounds good, Richard. Gerst is happy to stand there and wait for someone to need a triggerman.
That was a joke, of course. Gerst is NEVER happy.

If nir is the most experienced in negotiations with the Hutton, I have no problem with him handelibg negoitions I can always pass my character off as a scholar.
