Sorry meant DTLT - Dual Turbolaser Turrets
Almost feel dirty using Sato...

Maybe a mix?
My current setup is 4 A-wings, Tycho, Green squadron and 2 VCX-100s (for moving mines and Ion cannon tokens and for relaying squadron commands from the two flottillas so the grown-ups can concentrate on engaging the enemy ships).. Tychos main job is to to be slippery and move around and hug enemy ships at dist 1.
The A-wings are great for this job: Fast as hell and with counter to punish those who attack. And the VCXes are really sturdy.
Oh, and the MC30 scout with APTs and OEs is a blast.. Double arching black dice at long with a CF commmand.
Used it with good result this weekend at the Jutland regionals - but learned a lot as well.
Here is the improved list:
Commander: Commander Sato
Assault Objective: Advanced Gunnery
Defense Objective: Planetary Ion Cannon
Navigation Objective: Minefields
GR-75 Medium Transports (18 points)
= 18 total ship cost

Anyone any luck with Dodonnas pride on a cr90A?
I like that fleet a lot gil although the thought of running the mc80 sans eng techs makes me shudder
When using Sato with a setup like this, barring Tycho do you find that the lack of Intel comes up very often?
I'm happy with a Salvation, 4 CR90A's, a combat GR-75 with Slicer Tools, LT Blount, 10 z-95's, and an x-wing.
Blount, with the x-wing to keep him alive, and 4 or 5 of the 90's is plenty to tie up any fighters, while the last 5 or 6 95's spread out to catch the enemy fleet. Everything else just plays keep away and throws black dice at long range as often as possible, spamming nav commands (and the occasional con-fire when needed). It's worked decently well in my CC campaign (though I don't have the Salvation yet), and has been pretty fun to fly.

My experience is that there is mostly always one of the A-wings that has cleared the enemies in the area and can move - and with speed 5 it really can get away from mostly everything. But Tycho does the job fine by himself. And as he is flying on his own Tycho also gets a number of battery shots in and you need to dedicate to it in order to stop him. an single squadron taking a pot shot wont bring him down.

I haven“t had any problems with it yet. The MC80 is supposed to slow roll and hammer away with black dice at long range. I use the MC30 as a screen for the Assault cruiser blocking incoming ships or more often cutting behind an oncoming ISD/VSD and double arc it in the rear.
