It was very nice to be able to kill the BBcode for a minute to clean up quote boxes, nested quotes, and the like.

And there's a "bloop" sound when a thread gets a new response! Took me forever to figure out why Abby Road had some kind of freaky dance remix.

I want to find whatever genius (at Apple or Facebook or Twitter or wherever) who originated this "modern", "hip", "cool" trend in low-contrast, borders-lacking layouts for forums and webpages, and choke them unconscious. Seriously, how can "grayscale blur" be considered a functional, readable layout?

No, wrong screen. Go to Account Settings. Then from the right side of the screen Notification Settings under Other Settings. Uncheck the 3rd checkbox in Notification preferences. Enjoy the silence.
