There are a couple of things I really like and others that annoy me. The loss of sigs and who likes what are wierd things to lose.

The thing that is bothering me most...The 1 they put next to my screen name. Totally superfluous...There can only be one.

Guessing that probably happened if/when they merged the forums together, if there were duplicate usernames in the other forums. They just did +1 to someone?

Up till now I was using FFG's dark theme. I'm still reeling from the contrast....

For those wondering about the like limit. I happen to know this forum layout very well, it was heavily tested on a fantasy football forum for which I was one of the beta testers. We found that some members would be over enthusiastic with their liking and it bothered others. The like limit puts a control in place so that likes are garned at a fairly constant rate no matter the raters personality. This has extrordinary benefits when using a sort "by likes" option for viewing posts.

Amusingly, that isnt an option here....

Like limits are fine so you dont have people who like literally everything but not knowing who liked is kinda bogus. Leave it an option if you must but i detest anything a community does to remove one's face from his or her decisions. Part of the reason i recognize so many names is they keep liking my posts lol

I kept my screen in the darker theme for a while after the last change.

But I found that the bright screen helps with the seasonal affective disorder.

I'm not sure if this is a quirk of the fact that I am currently on a Chromebook, but when you quote another reply, it doesn't show any quotes in that post, only the added text. This is an example.

You also have to give a reason for edits, that appears to be viewable to the universe (I don't actually know, that's more of an assume).

You can give a reason. But you don't have to - you can leave it blank - I've been editing, and without it, its okay.

It complained at me earlier when I didn't. I'll see if it does again next it becomes relevant.

So glad that the quotes are limited. People were getting very sloppy and it was out of control.

Why can't people put "@guyimtalkingto" for short replies in thread instead reposting a wall of text?

I wish they had a darker theme. This choice between white and whiter is burning my screen and my eyes.
