Anyone that's interested in getting rid of circle avatars, it's because you're on the Default theme. Go to the bottom of your screen and select the Default (FFG) theme, and that will turn it into square avatars. That appears to be the only major difference between the 2.

It would appear they have removed switching themes altogether.

Yay, one thing is fixed, everything is square again and not round, now get back my dark shadowy theme that should never have been removed to begin with, and make the layout of the forums exactly the same as it was.

Have to admit, at first i liked the idea of showing our "liked numbers" but now i kinda wish it was still invisible.

I've never been about fake internet points, but now that its visible for some reason its on my mind.

Cramped "mobile" style layout and no Dark Theme means I'll be spending more and more time on r/XWingTMG. I have to choose between a desktop layout or the night theme on the mobile layout, I can't seem to have both, but I'll take one of those over none. Too bad thIs change had to happen.

Having just been involved in the roll out of a new consumer website with mobile optimisation, I couldn't agree more.

Pretty much every one I've seen is a mess. A maze-like, data-devouring mess.

I've seen a couple of pros to this new layout, but it's going to take some patience and getting used to.

Personally I'm WAY happier with the mobile theme when browsing the forum on my phone than I was trying to browse it on the desktop site before.

Is the preview option before posting gone?

Would be bad, as I tend to do typing and spelling errors (not my mother tongue), and these are easier to spot on preview. Preview on the old one was also good for controlling that quoting worked correctly.

Its been over a day or so for me now, and its still ugly and bright, dont make me abandon the official forums. Cause if this is how its going to look and feel, I rather not be part of it,

Ok so as an IT guy I can understand the db admins pain with a new system in place...as a FFG fan/player I think it's garbage

I'd appreciate it if someone posted a reply on this thread soon, so I can test out my newly enabled notifications. Apparently one of the options just became live from being previously disabled (at least within my settings -- not sure about everyone else).

On the other hand, currently, my option to select whether I receive a notification when someone likes my post is now disabled by the administrator. (Set to not receive them.)

Looks like the notifications side is continuing to evolve as they work the kinks out.

Can you turn of the notification sound when someone replies to a thread? Just found out now what that ound is i am hearing since yesterday, i even thought it's a problem with my pc

There's a place to disable it... let me look for it again...

Click on the bell to open Notifications, click on the "notification settings" link, then scroll down through the settings to preferences.

So, another vote for theme choice please. This apple white scheme is offensive to mine eyes.

Getting rid of the dark theme suxors. Probably gonna have to try and find a browser plugin to make it anything but white.
