How do you get squares.... >.< I mean yea, its a minor complaint, but it just seemed weird that it happened.

Also, you can't see how many people are reading a topic anymore! I know it's minor, but I used to look at that to see if I could expect a reply to my post immediately or not!

When I first logged in, it asked me to choose my avatar pic... and then promptly said "awaiting moderation" and left this one from the old site.

Blast! While all of you seem to be enjoying the new forums on your mobile devices, mine won't let me log in. That means I don't have a way to track what I have and haven't read on mobile. Of course, maybe that's because I'm using an iPod Touch from 2008. Do you think maybe it's time to upgrade? Oh well. I prefer computers to pocket devices anyway.

Hell, 9 out of 10 "mobile optimized" sites, I'd rather look at the normal site on my phone, or go back to the site before Google decreed all sites must be mobile friendly to be on their "top listings".

For example, ESPN's site is an absolute mess, a complete disaster, since they "updated".

Well, hopefully they'll add more features as time goes on. I definitely liked the old forum better, but I'm willing to give it some time.

What I really hate is the decidedly crap resolution of the avatars.

My only thing is this. Is there a way to find out when a post of yours gets liked. I know in the old forum that was pretty easy but i can't find it here.

Otherwise the new forum is fine. Will take some getting used to, but still fine.

I get the same notifications that I got on the old board when a comment gets liked. Additionally, I get notifications when someone quotes me that I did not get on the old board.

The only change I see and dislike is that everything is SO BIG and WIDE..

I do, too, mostly because I use several devices and at some point it became too much of a hassle to always change it. So I just got used to it.

Nah, I used it, too. The dark one is completely incompatible with browsing and posting while I'm at work

Things I like better:

• quoting works better
• attachments can be uploaded
• there's a proper way to include code and preformatted text (like lists) now

Things I like less:

• compression fragments and bad resolution of avatars
• signatures are gone
• so ... much ... whitespace

You get 500KB worth of attachments and I don't see a way to delete them.

EDIT: It looks like you can delete them from the post where they were attached. You can't seem to delete them from the "My Attachments" page.

500kb of attachments is nothing these days. Pictures break that without even trying if they have any resolution of merit.

Still better off linking to Imgur or something.

And now that I'm wondering aloud... WTH is up with the auto-formatting? Double-space on all line breaks? Really?

And yeah, ugh... so much white space... I hate this trend in web design.

Thing is, on a touch screen, it's still BAD, because the "buttons" are usually smoothed-off or rounded, and some pastel or grey shade that barely stands out.

Give me contrast, give my borders, give me distinct sharp lines and corners, and rational amounts of space between content. The page doesn't have to be made up of multiple animated scrolling doodads crammed in together without any delineation between them.

I tried searching "Echo" and I get no search results. For this forum that shouldn't be possible.

Type "site:[adress] [what you want to search]" into google (without quotation marks).

"site:community.fantasyflightgames.com echo" gives 3 500 results. You can filter and sort as you please.
