Wow, this new forum seems terrible.

THis new forum seems rather terrible … at least in the default theme and structure. :)

Yah there certainly is a lot more white space in what was already a fairly white spacey design. And no avatars.

Yeah, my uniqueness in not having an avatar is gone too ;-)

Though technical the new avatar system is rather nice, they just would need to update the presets with their old data, I doubt that they would delete such a nice collection of avatars and not use it.

Well im mainly glad we can finally have our own avatars.

Could we not before? I was pretty sure that I just did not wanted to use my standard avatar here … ah well, or maybe I could not, so that would be at least something very nice added to the old terrible forums ^_^ (It would be unfair to just call the new one terrible, when the old one had some severe limitations and glitches too)

BTW. Veinheart01, your "new" avatar is terrible, you come off about 2 magnitudes more likeable and pleasant than before. Not sure what I should think about that :P

edit: And uploading your own avatars are gone ^_^

And the symbols are all...floaty.

Oh goddammit I missed it again

Many plus points for allowing to edit the title of a topic, that feature has been missed.

No X-Wing ships in the list of FFGs avatars, either.

Hey wait, I got to keep my avatar!!! FFG likes me best :D

I like the idea of your own avatars, but I'm not sure if I should stick with my old one. People will surely be used to it, but it seems a bit blurry for the larger size.

I don't think it removed anyones avatar? I still have my beautiful Y-wing.

Yea, I might find a higher res Horton from the X-wing wiki.

Wait...how can you add your own graphic? I clicked on the little edit button and it just gives me a menu that I can pick. I am sure I'm missing something.

Similar predicament here.

Hey, somebody like this. . .I want to see if my Reputation goes up :)

This is different, very plain and simple it seems.

WOOHOO, went from 1,232 to 1,233!! (Although it doesn't seem to tell you who liked it anymore. . .)

Fantasy Flight Games must of hired JJ Abrams to improve upon the original. This looks like his kind of "improvement"

Someone in another thread said that they did allow you to upload your own graphics...and then cancelled it. So, no custom graphics.

Stick with the old one. Otherwise, it's like losing a bunch of weight, getting a haircut, shaving and getting contacts. It may look better but no one will recognize you.

This is going to take some getting use to. Aside from the visual stuff there seems to be more options and is A LOT slower. The speed may increase once the transition is completed.

I don't know about you, but the horrible upscaled and blurry old avatars … are not really helping with getting recognize, its like getting 30 years older, gaining 200 pounds of weight and starting to wear glasses. No one will recognize you and it still looks ugly. ;-)

I think that depends a lot on the avatar. heychadwick and I both have avatars that are simple drawings and the circular cropping captured what I would consider the recognizable part of the image. I could definitely see the blurriness and cropping as an issue with some of the other avatars on the board.
