A little background first -
I'm a long time gamer and I've been playing with this GM and some members of my current for close to 20 years. The GM has long, established history of being stingy on rewards, hard on the rules, and unforgiving with encounter difficulties (doesn't scale well; up or down).
We're a couple sessions in now and we have the Krayt Fang. Several attempts to get attachments for weapons were shot done until 3 of us explained that attachments just get attached, no roll required. We got scolded on shooting and looting everything that walks (rightly so) but the costs of everything we want to buy get increased.
After a nearly disastrous space encounter, we're now introduced to the fan supplement Opperational Costs. The thought is to keep our cash reserves in check but if all the costs are inflated you would think that does a good job.
How do I talk to my GM about narrative options for ship operation? Similarly to blasters losing ammo/charge. Rolls on arrival or something.
I only get 3 hours to game occasionally because, you know, Adult Lifew, and I don't want to spend it worrying about my fictional space ship the way I do about my car and Adventures of Stars Wars Murder-Hobo isn't appealing to me.
