I know Asajj and Ketsu are doing well at a highly competitive level, but I want to know where the sabine caster lists are. She seems great.

Lets take some time to discuss builds, tactics, and batreps of our favorite girl in one of our newest fleet additions.

i think the lack of an EPT is the only reason you dont see her much.

Her ability can be pretty potent on paper. Makes her a lot more durable as a result. But without an EPT shes heavily limited in what she can do. The big Ketsu and Asajj builds revolve around the EPT more than their ability.

She's got a great ability but she's another mid PS pilot that suffers for not having an EPT slot. A ship like the VCX-100 or YV-666 can get by without an EPT slot because they have enough other upgrade slots to leverage. The poor Shadow Caster just gets one crew and a pair of illicit slots to work with.

I think you don't see her very often is because of Latts Razzi crew. The combination of Asajj and Latts is too good. Therefore, instead of having this free focus during defense, you can have the free evade by using Latts Razzi (both work at range 1-2 of your mobile firing arc).

Contrary to others opinions, Sabine's pilot ability is not good. She has no ept, therfore it's extremely difficult to get more than 1 use out of it. If you use glitterstims then you are dumping more points into a gimmick that will only work a couple of times. And if you are looking for a tanky lancer, just take Asajj who can get actual evade results, and she has an ept. I fail to see the reason why Sabine's shadowcaster ability even exists, when there's a pilot who does the same thing but more often and for just a couple more points.

Sabine pretty badly needs an ept I think. She can't actually fully use her pilot ability very well without having to resort to something like double glitterstim or flight instructor. If Sabine could take wired or Mindlink as easy ways to actually utilize her ability she might be worth something.

Sabine's ability is bad, her PS is low, and she doesn't have an EPT slot. It's no surprise she gets no play.

The fact that she doesn't have an EPT is probably entirely because of how nuts she'd be with Mindlink.

She could be a candidate for Operations Specialist, though.

Granted, thats probably because both of those have the pre-action ability. She'd literally only have PTL, premove boost/barrelroll into push into green move into another action.

She has an EPT, and PTL Sabine with a Targeting Computer is terrific. Pre-boost, PTL to focus or BR, reveal a green (or a white with Kanan), clear stress, and take your remaining action as needed.
