Updated the Seasonal tab on the Wave 5 sheet if you want to start looking at how Wave 5 compares to previous waves.
Anything else that should be tracked from season to season like that?

Edited by shmittyFilled in some holes for the Waterloo, UK tournament.
Also added fleets from the Sevilla, Spain Regional. They love their Imperials at that tournament!
Of the 8 Wave 5 Regionals where we know the winner, no Admiral has won more than once!
Pretty cool that we are seeing a wide mix of admirals winning.

It is, and the winning fleets themselves are a pretty diverse lot. Some common themes like flotilla use to pad activations, but a real variety of ship and squadron strategies after that.
Can this post be stickied or pinned? Would be great to have a dedicated Regionals and championship result thread.

If only this forum had a moderator.
Newington Regional added.
Really cool field at that one. Excellent variety of fleets. 11 different admirals used in 16 fleets.
I was able to capture the Las Vegas data, but it'll take a bit to get it to you.

If you attended either of those tournaments and could post your fleet list it would be appreciated. Going to work on the Waterloo, UK Fleets today.
Also, take a look at the Squadrons tab. Baltanok has been doing some great work with that. The analysis is on the far right of the sheet.
So I have been meaning to send you that data for Houston for quite sometime. I have been trying to get caught up with a lot of stuff. I will be sending data concerning the Houston and San Antonio Regionals in the very near future.
Hey Shmitty, I can't message you for some reason. Says you can't receive or something
Thanks for compiling the Regional data. Here is a link to the San Diego Regionals Final Standings.
The TO accidentally wrote Josh twice and left off my name. So I became "Other Josh". "Real Josh" is TheCactusMan17. He has the fleet lists and you can confirm this information with him. Incidentally, CactusMan has the fleet lists which he'll send your way as well.

Top 3 added for Sydney.
Motti is the first Admiral that we know of to win two Wave 5 Regionals.
Shmitty, if you forward me the data, I should be able to do data entry for you.

Mothma's done it too. ![]()
She also broke into the Top-4-But-Not-Winner bracket, with her evil twin running her evil twin fleet to take third.
I don't know all the fleets, and I know Justin's getting you the full data when he can, but I at least have the top 4 from San Antonio.

4 MoV difference! Now that's cutting it close.
Also interesting to note the Rebel dominance.
And I love the Coming In Hot list: "Guns? Where we're going we don't need guns!"

I will say that between having the cheapest flotilla and the best ship in the game for destroying flotillas (the Torp MC30 with H9s), Rebels feel like they've got a bit of a lead in the current state of the meta. With XI7s getting traded out for H9s, the MC30s' natural predators are getting a bit defanged against it and double evade double redirect is a fantastic defense token suite against bombers and ships that only reliably generate one accuracy (particularly with Mon Mothma around to make those evades even better).
I'm somewhat reminded of the early wave 2 meta where Ackbar conga lines were ascendant and most Imperial players were just going nuts trying to find ISD-oriented ways to solve the problem (more upgrades on ISDs! they're the only thing that can take ECMs and we need to counter upgrade cards like Home One with our own upgrade cards!) that inevitably weren't very consistent. Similarly, it feels like a lot of Imperial fleets are trying to make the basic Rebel archetypes (particularly the flotillas+Bomber Command Centers+bombers nonsense) work for Imperials but aren't having a lot of success overall because Rebels are better Rebels than Imperials are Rebels.
I've been doing all right with Imperials but I still can't help but feel that there's some kind of archetype that is as-of-yet undiscovered (or perhaps just not popular enough to get recognized) for taking the initiative back from the Rebels right now, just like the DeMSU style did to Ackbar (thank God). With the huge rush of raw stuff we got in wave five, it's taking some time to sift through everything.
Wow. Motti really showed up to work in Sydney, didn't he?
Milwaukee is now in there.
San diego was imperial central I think top 6 were all imp.
Top 4 in for San Antonio.

It is the year of the Mothma.

**** Ard beat me to it. I had the top 4 typed up but have not had a chance to send it. I have still 24 more lists to type up. But you will get it scmitty I promise!!
And now including the Top 4 in San Diego. Full data for that one will also eventually be available.

Nah, just a little joke, it's obviously just an anomaly.
