No he didn't.
Greedo didn't get a shot off.
If there's no "second," there's no "first." There's just "only." ![]()

From what I have heard is that the feet are designed to stabilize the walker to shoot the big cannon on its back. Which could be used as a large Artillery piece. Which it could have the ability to grapple difficult terrain.
I know this is outrageously nitpicky, but...
Does anyone else think "Rose" and "Paige" aren't very Star Wars-y names?

Well, they can't all be as original as Luke, Ben, and Owen.
But some regular Earth names do sound like Star Wars names. Luke and Ben. If you had a Star Wars character named Bill or Kate, on the other hand, that would not work.
Rose isn't as bad as Kate, but it isn't great either.
I'll be the contrarian here and say it is a great Star Wars name, if a little cliche.

Do Luke and Ben really sound like SW names, or is that just because you've had 40 years of associating them with SW? Give these new names 40 years and they'll likely feel the same way.
You can check out the X-Wing models of the new TIE Silencer and the Resistance Bomber.
You know, it's silly as all get out, but I find the bomber is somehow charming, now that I can look at a 3D model of it. If it has a bit more width instead of height, I think it would look a whole lot better, like a Star Wars B-29.

Yeah, it isn't just that, though. When I first heard the names "Finn" and "Kyle Katarn," I thought they sounded like good Star Wars names, even though their first names come from the real world.
I think certain names do have a more SWarsy feel than others. Paige, for instance... I don't think that has a very SW feel. Now "Paje" is far more of a SW name.
So the next one is in the hands of J. J. Abrams now. That's just great.![]()
Oh dear......

I felt a great disturbance in the Force, as if millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced...
I think 8 is going to make or break 9 regardless of who directs it.
I JJ can just stay away from the "member-berries" derivative nostalgia fest, I won't mind. He directs well enough.
Unless we get more dialogue along the lines of "I must end this pain!"
There were a LOT of problems with TFA. I liked it for various characters, but the script was not exemplary.
Edited by Vestij Jai GalaarThe thing is, I just dont like JJ's work. Star Trek was, oh, how shall we say. . . . not good? I thought his Mission Impossible was terrible and I didnt like what I saw of Lost. I'd much rather see Menahem Golan and Yoram Globus direct the next Star Wars than I would JJ.
(Actually, a Cannon made Star Wars film could either be super-amazeballs-awesome or terrible.)

No... There is no silencing some.

That's probably the fairest reaction I've seen: you just don't care for his work.
To be fair, though, the M:I franchise has been awful since day one, and the hatchet job it did on the source material. And Lost was more of a background involvement after the pilot.
Personally, I like some of his work, and not others. TFA is one that I enjoyed. It did what I hoped and expected: pushed all the right Star Wars buttons for an enjoyable moviegoing experience. Is it flawless? Nah. But then, none of the movies are.
I liked the star trek movies as a one shot, chris pine was good but the whole thing was just too silly especially for 3 movies.
Tfa is basically a new hope intro for new characters not horrible but utterly unimportant.
Remember when TFA came out and was universally liked and noone had yet jumped on the, internet hate fueled, "but it's a remake" bs?
Peperidge fa.... oh **** it.
Edited by DanteRotterdamSounds like one of those fact-free bubbles that are so prevalent nowadays. I don't recall there ever being a time when TFA was "universally liked" after people actually saw something more than a trailer. The full movie was much less interesting than the trailers. Unlike Rogue One, where the finished product was better than the teasers.

Nope. That time never existed. I thought it was a bs remake from the moment I saw it.

I was literally hearing that the day it came out.
