Edited by SturnEpisode VIII: The Last Jedi (Eventual Spoilers)

The gloved hand in the trailer is either Luke's or Rey stole his glove. As seen in the Vanity Fair photos, the glove Luke has matches the color and style of the one in the trailer that is touching the old book with the Jedi symbol on it.

I am pretty sure that they want to sell toys, so there will probably be new stuff.

Seeing this photo has me really intrigued who Benicio is playing. Besides the comment he made about being a "Bad Guy" we have not heard anything about his character. Besides the Ezra Theory, does anyone have any thoughts on who he could be?

With Han dead, maybe they want a new scoundrel type in the mix?

There are theories that he might be Ducain (sp?), the guy who originally stole the Millennium Falcon from Han.

Aye, to be fair that's largely what we are getting; the Empire's back, Kylo is going to get revenge for having his beautiful face ruined, Rey will be carrying Luke on her ba- well, maybe not that!
I strongly suspect that they will be relying pretty hard on familiarity. I am just hoping it's exploring a interesting story this time, as apposed to "where art thou Luke? And never mind that super weapon; the stormtrooper will only mention it precisely before it's about to- Oh."

Boring looking I think.

Or climb....

If you look at the poster it pretty much smacks you in the face with Rey being grey.
I've always wanted to see some more love for grey/neutral force users (or the Jensaarai specifically), but that type of Neutrality doesn't fit well narratively in the traditional Star Wars Epic Fantasy tale of good vs evil. Especially when it comes to the Primary protagonist, so I think its very unlikely that the writers would take Rey in this direction, though if they did it would only be temporary.
Personally I loved the moral ambiguity of Cassian and Han in ANH(he shot first!) as this makes the Star Wars Universe feel more real and believable. I am in LOVE with EoTE setting (who needs laser swords anyway!?) and I hope they explore the grey-er sides of the Star Wars Universe in possibly the Han solo movie, or the rumored Boba Fett movie. However, I understand why it is unlikely to have a large part in the "Skywalker Legacy" movies (as they are being called), and I am fine with that.
