"Passing" after executing actions: round ends?

By shinayser, in Star Wars: Destiny

Hey guys, the game FAQ still pretty poor so I need to come here to get some clarification with you. Check this situation:

Adam vs Paul, Paul has the battlefield.

1) Adam "passes" (decides for make no action)

2) Paul uses Tactical Mastery, gaining two actions.

3) Paul plays a support from his hand and the second action he decides to "pass".

What happens? The round will really end or the fact that he didin't immeadtly passed (performing 2 actions before it) does cancel the "two players passing SIMUTANEOUSLY" rule?

Paul played a card. Adam would get an action.

Agree with rowdy. If player A passes - and then if player B does anything but 'pass' then it wasn't consecutive.

As long as the game state has changed then it doesnt end the turn.

Game state? What's that ?

Game state is a term that was referenced in the last FAQ update. The added the rule that if, on your turn, the only action you do doesn't change the game state, that is the same as passing. An examples would be exhausting a Backup Muscle that was already out of tokens.

I believe he was being sarcastic.

Maybe so, but the term could still be confusing to some people.

The term should be confusing to everyone, since FFG has yet to define it for us. We had a nice long conversation about this when I posted the rules update.

When both players pass without doing anything the the turn ends. You can always pass to see what the other person will do, but if you do you're at risk that they will also pass ending the turn.

Of note: you no longer pass actions that are granted from other game effects. If you don't want to utilize the action, you decline to act. It wouldn't be counted as a pass.

This question really answered itself -- the passing wasn't consecutive, there was an action between passes. Therefore, round continues.
