destroyed ghost and undocking phantom

Situation: the ghost is destroyed with a docked phantom.

I know the phantom gets a facedown damage card, but can it fire that turn?

I know the phantom gets a facedown damage card, but can it fire that turn?

If the Phantom is deployed because the Ghost is destroyed, it receives a face down damage card and can perform an action provided it did not bump or was stressed with its deploying maneuver.

If the Phantom deploys voluntarily after the Ghost performs a maneuver, it also gets an action and can perform an attack that round.

The rules for deploying are actually not in the either Rules Reference or FAQ (that I could find) meaning that they are probably only in the booklet that came in the Ghost expansion, which I am pretty I don't still have, so no everyone might be able to read the rules as you say.

People come to the rules forum looking for help and to clear confusion, you shouldn't be rude to them for doing it.

Seriously read them.

If you're not going to provide a useful answer, or at least a page number and which document has the info, then don't bother posting at all.

Myself and many others have tried very hard to make this a place where anyone can ask questions without being treated rudely for asking. RTFM is not an acceptable answer here, and if that's the best you got, then don't bother.

Also in this case it is as eelaypuff said, not actually in the FAQ or the rule book. That means not everyone who'd come here asking that question actually has access to the rules, since they may not actually own a Ghost and are asking because of a situation they ran across when someone else was playing one.

Thanks a lot - that's not the answer I wanted to hear. I was really important in two of my games. I thought you could as long as he has not missed his turn.

zeb is ps 3 and only the ps 9 and 8 have shot - I will try to find it in the rules - if I can not find the ghost example - I will cry then send the game designers a nasty e-mail for conspiring against me. :)

If you think your Ghost is likely to get capped this turn, deploy the Phantom? It's not like the Ghost is one of those high Agility low hit point ships that can live longer than expected or blow up suddenly.

Rules that are only available to players that buy a particular product suck. FFG really needs to make this stuff accessible. They had some of the deployment stuff older versions for the FAQ (pre-Ghost) but ended up pulling it in the more recent versions.

Yeah I don't get why they don't at least have a PDF version of all the special rules that come in a given expansion.

It's not like the rules do you any good without the ship itself, and not everyone keeps close track on those booklets.

Maybe i was a little harsh, apologies, but as you look in my history i always try to help. Unless the question is clearly written within base rules, cause thats just promoting laziness ;) This rule is available in many, many places (builder and wiki are the first that i checked to confirm), so that is no argument.
