Pick a city. ANY big city.

Bejing, Moscow, Paris, Singapore, Tokyo. All you are really concerned with is big clusters of urban landscape. Green and all.

NYC may be a bit too obvious IMHO.

And, once you've saved the picture, rotate it by a least 90 degrees to make any landmarks a player might be familiar with a bit "off."

For an overhead map of a large city, I rotated San Francisco 180 degrees, so the coast was to the "east."
