I found myself,as many of us do,wanting another mini and not having the cash to buy it. What options do I have,well,I could wait 'til I have the cash....too impatient, I could pinch one.....too honest, well then,it's out with the plasticard and rod and build one.

Now,I don't need to tell you,that there was no way I could build one to FFG's standards,unless I had all the time in the world,which I didn't. The option then was to build one which,whilst looking very like a Y-Wing,was more of the cobbled together out of bits & pieces junkyard build.

Without further ado or explanation,here's some pics of the build,plus a pic of the dial,(originally Scum), plus the base topper,(also Scum).

As you can see,the cockpit is a fair bit shorter than the other two, still,you could class it as a Y-Wing with the BTL-A4 title.

Thanks for showing the progression on this...I wasn't too sure during the build phase, but the paintjob really helps bring it closer to its 'legitimate' brethren!

You know what, for being an admittedly low tech effort, it actually looks quite good!

Ha ha! That is pretty good! I really like the character it has. If I had an ugly little piggy like that in my squad it would quickly become my favorite ship to fly. I think I want one. For some reason it really speaks to me.
