Sharing my Corellian Conflict Campaign Management Tools

By Irokenics, in Star Wars: Armada

Heyo Fleet Commanders,

I thought i'd share to the community the way I run my Corellian Conflict Campaign so that others can have the tools to help run their future campaigns if they think it adds any value. Some of you may already be doing this.

Basically due to life, it can be extremely difficult getting 2 teams of 3 to meet up and flesh out the Strategy Phase. So what i've done is become a neutral event organiser/TO and setup the following:

1. Private facebook group pages called CC - Neutral Zone, CC - Rebel War Room, CC - Imperial Headquarters
2. Invite team members to their respective pages and both sides and observers to the Neutral Zone
3. Create two private Google Spreadsheet links of the Team and Individual Rosters for both teams and provide them in their respective team group pages.

I've made up a template for the fleet rosters here with formulas done for resource income and battlefield effects here:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1eheudSDR3jCKxt5i6WpJbq4Pi-oDsA5M9ItGLIuSSrI/edit?usp=sharing

Just remember after you download it to split it up into Rebel/Imperial and upload each seperately to google sheets.

The result is now the Strategy Phase can be done online at everyone's leisure in the Neutral Zone, each team will have their own private group page / chat to plan, both grand admirals will have an online tool that can be updated by the team and/or the TO and after assaults are declared the individual battles can be organised between players in their own time.

From the experience so far, i find it fun fleshing out the story through battle updates using the Neutral Zone. I even provide an update using a digital version of the map. The only downside is you don't get to play because you'll have secret information from both sides, but its always fun seeing each side strategise against the other!

I also recommend during the management phase that you allocate the resource income to each fleet roster manually so they can work out what they need to spend it on.

Anyways hope you found it useful, good luck out there!

P.S Come to think of it, i guess this would be a good way to run a CC campaign on Vassal too!

Dude, this is extremely useful. Thanks so much for posting!

Ha! We are just kicking off tonight. Thanks for this!

Very nice.

I've also been developing a spreadsheet for fleet management, resource stream, etc. I've added dropdowns with assigned costs for ships / squadrons and have a future upgrades planning area to help calculate totals and overall fleet composition and upgrade prioritization.

It's not quite ready for the spotlight yet, though. Glad to see others working on this!

I've taken the work by Democratus (which was great but aimed towards having 1 document for each faction) and made some changes (e..g lots of drop downs in cells) to make it work as a roster which can be used throughout the campaign to track the currently known information (e.g. objectives could be added to individual fleet rosters as and when they are revealed but are kept secret to begin with).

Hope you find it useful and full credit to Democratus for the initial version.

Looking great! Thanks for taking the ball and running with it. :)
