I couldn't believe my eyes when I picked up the box and noticed it:

That's a Venator in the back, and the lower right...that's a Venator right there....could this be a sign?

Edited by Gottmituns205THATS AN EASTER EGG IF I HAVE EVER SEEN ONE.
I was just thinking about this the other day! Cause Saber Squadron is on the side of the 1st Imperial Fighter pack and I was wondering if there were other hints.
i defenetly hope it's imperial/neutral faction
Could be a NR era ship, given the timeframe of the E-Wing, but I'll hope along with you that it's indication of the Venator coming sooner rather than later.
When it comes to FFG, Art is Art. You can't look too closely at all of the art, and expect everything you see - because that Art is cycled over all of their Star Wars games..
And I mean, its not the only thing we're still looking forward to in that - Slaved Turrets has, apparently, a DP20 on it, so that is still in the lurch...
I mean, I would like to see a Clanky Cantankerous old Venator.... I need another excuse to play Imperials again.
Right now it's Armada:waiting for Venators and Dreadnoughts, XWing: Assault Gunboats and Skiprays
Though action Vs, Lancers, and Cloakshapes would be nice too
Edited by LobokaiNice find, though Dras is right about the art.
On the other hand, this does indicate that it's a possibility to show up later. And frankly, as they start running low on Imperial ships, there's a fair chance they'll reach back to the Venator. It's aesthetically consistent with Imperial grey-triangles design, it could fill a unique role as a dedicated heavy carrier. I'm not a huge fan of the ship myself, generally speaking, but it does seem like there's a pretty good chance it'll show up as we start running out of the obviously-included ships in later waves.
the art seems to depict the e wing in a dog fight flying through a debris field made up of destroyed ships, probably from long past battles... When you see the venator flying around shooting things as was the mc80 liberty in the raider I alt art, then we'll talk...
Considering I don't there's a singe instance of the Gunboat or Missileboat in Xwing art, the absolute lack of it usually tells it won't be coming more than a sight says itll come at any time soon.

Is there some other artwork we can compare that to? I don't see anything in the image that screams Venator to me.
I thought this meme of, "It's in the art, THAT MEANS IT'S COMING!" was dead. I was tired of it even in Wave 3 of X-Wing.
We know nothing until the next product announcements from FFG. What we do know is that Mel miniatures has a Venator on his page if you are climbing the walls with desire for one.
Well there is that Assault Frigate that looks like a neb b2 floating around too. I forgot the card but it is somewhere.
It looks like the pelta wing to me tbh

There's an actual Nebulon-B2 card for the LCG or so I'm told. But nothing else, not even the current RPG so far as I'm aware.
I'm inclined to believe that something on the packaging of a product is more likely to eventually be released, and we've actually seen them sneak new ships onto product covers before. It guarantees nothing, especially since this appears to be only a partially visible ship and we're not even sure if it is complete or not.
Okay Adar Tallon has a hologram Assault Frigate mk1
If that's a Venator then it has Republic painting on it, which makes no sense...
Could it be a Nebula-class Star Destroyer from the New Republic era?
If so, not a ship we're likely to see for the game (though admittedly I do like it quite a lot).
It is the wing from the pelta...
Guys, likely the artist for these pieces came up with the random background stuff because they felt like it and not out of some ulterior motive. The subject here is the E-Wing, the background material is "random space debris from Star Wars." Slipping in a clone-wars era relic that got trashed is for the atmospheric sense, not because there's a far-reaching agenda to release that ship in the near future. It's all been coincidental as far as I'm concerned.
Venator confirmed everybody freak out!
j/k ...its a good sign though ![]()
Looks more like Finalizer to me.
Edit: Autocorrect!!!
Edited by FourDogsInaHorseSuitThere's an Acclamator coming! I saw it stitched into Adar Tallon's underpants.
