Hey all I have been looking for decent space terrain for Armada but haven't been able to find very much to pretty up my tables. Any suggestions?
Help finding Terrain!
Combatzone Scenary seems to some good stuff.
Yes combatzone looks very good but the cost to ship to anywhere outside of the UK is very expensive. Upwards of 50% of the purchasing cost for a set of asteroids and a space station.
Combat zone is very high quality and incredibly reasonably priced for what you get. The shipping was also not even remotely bad as long as you order up. I purchased I believe about $300 with of stuff and only paid about $35 for shipping to the US. I also received everything in under a week which was significantly quicker than what they promised.
I bought their Armada sized station, and it's gigantic. The casts were nice, and they take paint well.
That being said, I'm glad I got in on space rocks before they got shut down. That was easy to use, and it was great having debris fields based off of the core set models.
I bought a set of these asteroids a while ago.

A friend of mine built some asteroids out of lava rocks and wooden dowels. Just place them on the asteroid template. Though we don't use them a lot because they get in the way.
I got the space rocks set right before they got served a cease and desist by Lucasfilm.....
Link to this combat zone stuff?
Ooh! Ooh! I made my own!

It's an x-wing tutorial, though I do think it will work for Armada as well.

For asteroids , stick polystyrene balls to brass rods and then point a hairdryer at them until they harden and deform from the heat. (Do this outside because of poison and fire hazards.)
Paint the polystyrene balls with PVA glue before you spray paint them to toughen them up and prevent the spray paint from further deforming them.
for space stations , use this kit:

For wreckage , cutting up armada ships is the best, but most expensive option. Old miniatures from WOTC Star Wars games may also be okay, and a lot cheaper
Edited by D503Good find, I like those a lot.
