Sleeve advice needed

By Viper1dragon, in Star Wars: Destiny

I bought KMC hyper Matte White, love the brand, but they're not opaque. I can read "Star Wars"

Any suggestions? Dragon Shield White Matte? Anyone have any experience with those and k law if they're fully opaque?

Or I break down and switch to KMC Black.

I've never used FF sleeves. But I have a few white ones that came on cards from eBay, and they're way more see through than KMC.

I bought the leia sleeves from FFG. when used it's like a wet T-shirt act as star wars can be seen through that as well.

What FFG wants is that you can use promo cards which are printed in house by them. and when obscuring the view somewhat you can't see the color differences. It's probably OK in this case

My Dragon Shield yellow is see through, but the silver and matt green are great.

The DS sleeves are also fantastic for shuffling where some others tend to stick.

I have the FFG Slave Leia, ESB, and ROTJ sleeves and the last two it's alittle hard to see through, but Leia much easier.

I use UltraPro black and they're definitely fine. I know some people have mentioned they're prone to breaking, but I haven't had that happen often enough to make me switch.

I and my gaming comunity uses dragon shield matte. They are very durable. Also matte sleeves are thicker so you won't see through them. I also double sleeve my cards. Using ultra pro pro-fit and dragon shield matte on top.

I'm just using the ultra-pro pro-fit right now on my destiny cards ... I use dragon shields on my magic cards tho ... they are really good

I went with KMC Hyper matte green sleeves (and perfect fits inside to double sleeve). Sleeved my whole collection

I use Dragon Shields.

i just checked my dragonshield white gloss (i don't have the matte version) and i could clearly read the star wars symbol, and i'm sure the matte version won't be any different

i do however use other colours of dragonshield and i haven't had any issues. so probably stick to darker colours

Using Dragon Shield White Matte, and you can see the Star Wars through the back. They are not completely opaque. I think I am going to use the white sleeves for characters and battlefield since you aren't suppose to use the same color for them as the deck.

Any brightly colored sleeve will show the card back a little bit. This is not actually an issue as long as they don't go changing the card backs / printing double-faced cards (both seem pretty unlikely for the predictable future of the game).

If you want sleeves that are definitely not at all transparent on the back, get dark colors, or good sleeves that have a glossy art back.

So I've not had a problem with this sleeve combo:

For non characters/battlefields I use the Dragon Shield Perfect Fit Smoke inner sleeves with Dragon Shield Red Matte Sleeves. Star Wars is not visable.

For characters and battlefields I use Dragon Shield Perfect Fit Clear inner sleeves with Dragon Shield Clear Matte sleeves. Since it doesn't matter if you know characters are promos or not.
