Hi All

Was struck by idea of playing only Misions with fleet. In squadron heavy wave 5 era it is very difficult to play 134 Iperial fighter/bomber loadout (Rebels have far better optios IMO to play this game, both in ships and squadrons). SO I thing what is below. The idea is to use lambdas to move tokens and allow me better score. I will try to avoid fight with the ships and concentrate on defending lambdas. In Blockade Run I will play with Ozel speed play to jump over enemy or, if my opponent will delay his actions move to jump into his deployment in last round.

What do you think? Will it work?

In my experience dedicated fighter-hunter Raiders don't worth the points wasted on them. They can tie up enemy fighters for one or two turns and in that time they usually can't shoot them down, and then they are out of range. What I did on my MSU is that I distributed the AA cards on my Raiders, therefor no matter which ships the enemy fighters were close to, it was bad for them. I would suggest to move Kallus to the naked Raider for example and add OE and/or Quads to Ozzel's Raider.

Then again, this would make it a very dedicated anti-fighter list and it lacks anything that would help it to shoot down whales. And you don't have a bomber ball to do it for you, so you should scrap some of the Interceptors and replace them with Bombers. Your Raiders will defend themselves against fighters so you only need an escort for your bombers.

Idea of this fleet is to avoid fight focusing on objectives. I changed my list. I throw away Instigator and OE on Raider, also add flechette missiles to the impetous.

For now I played Only once so far loosing Blockade Run with 7:4. I made 2 mistakes. First was made by greed for points. I was so overenthusiated that left with raider shield dial over board by 0,5 mm.

Second one was When I decided to burn BREACE on admiral raider to avoid one hit. It cost me dearly. I managed to breake with 2 gonzanti and 2 Raiders. Lost 3 Tie Interceeptors but kill all opponemt squadrons. His Raider was on motti last HP. I own 4 tokens and lost 2ships. Score should look like 5 tokens for me plus all his squadrons and his Raider to 3 lost tie interceptors. As in armada, small mistakes make huge disasters.
