WHY THAT WEEKEND?! WHY?! GAAAAHHH! So close to being able to go to a Nationals!
(That's my son's birthday weekend)
*sips morning hot coco* Yay. . . otherside of the country. . . welp have fun people! WWPDSteven might win his second NOVA this year. . .
So no nationals for this track...... That's what I thought would happen in the transition year.

I haven't paid enough attention- does that mean there will be no byes for the 2017 World Championship in May? Also, have they released the dates yet for when in May the World champs will be held?
Totally a doable experience. But unless I have a quazi-religious experience with Armada, I'll let somebody else take the multiple rounds of beatings.

Someone asked that question a few weeks ago, and I dug everything up for them
They have not announced it.
But they've Stated that the Store Championship Kits, Which are slated to be used from the 13th of May Onwards, will contain 2 Copies of the World Championship Card, to be given away, possibly during a Streaming event of the world Championships the weekend before....
Essentially - Words is the weekend of the 6th of May.
WTB: South Georgia, South Alabama, or North Florida Regionals......plz?
Stoked. I'm pretty sure I can get to this.
I'm starting to think they don't like people who work in higher education. Worlds around the time of finals for most schools. Nationals the first week of classes for most schools. The latter is probably an issue for most K-12, too. ![]()

This game is hard for work in general. =/.
Yes, but what are the prizes I'll have to get on Ebay!?

Exclusive and amazing prizes await participants at a National Championship. Each kit features alternate art cards, playmats, tokens, and more! Prizes will be awarded to those who perform well and place among the top finishers. We will preview images of these tantalizing prizes closer to the start of events in the coming months.
so looks like im going to NOVA this year
And here I am, hoping just to get enough people together to get my FLGS to break open all the past kits for tournament rewards.

Heh, yep.
Huh, I can make that. I'm rubbish at this game, but it may be a good time.
Does that mean it's a 4 day tournament? Or is armada going to be scheduled for some of those days?
Last year the Armada tournament was Thursday and Friday.

Based on the NOVA site it looks like it has the same setup that FFG had at worlds. Two separate days with the top 2 going to a cut on Saturday.

"Players must bring a tournament-legal 400-point fleet. Tournament structure will follow the FFG official tournament rules. Heat 1 (48 players and 5 rounds of Swiss on Thursday) and Heat 2 (48 players and 5 rounds of Swiss on Friday) will determine who makes the Top 4 Elimination rounds on Saturday."
