The U-wing and Tie-Striker were on FFG... and other FFG newish releases that were short on stock at your FLGS of choice were not because of FFG but were either a store issue of distributor issue.

Some stores simply handle stock of new releases terrible and do not listen to their customers like other stores do. I can not say enough how important stores SHOULD be listening to their clients and starting pre-order lists.

I think it is fully spoiled by now, but there may be a surprise somewhere in the Upsilon or quadjumper. I know Sabine's Tie was pretty solidly spoiled.

Are the wings movable?

Does anyone know for sure if the wings fold up? Close inspection of still images looks like they should be capable of it. BUT since I know there are a few people this this model already in their hands... can anyone confirm one way or the other?

I know two stores in Canada that were only permitted one each of the U-Wing, one of which is a big store in Calgary. That might be the distributor but it might be online sales take precedence to store sales. Store owners in my experience aren't listened to by distributors or manufacturers, some are as you say don't listen to customers but they don't last long.

Sabine's Tie is presumed to just be a boring old tie fighter dial.

The quadjumper was spoiled somewhere, but I don't recall offhand where.

The wings absolutely fold up. There are videos of people playing with the UPs and the wings fold. Would be an epic design disaster if they didn't.

My LFGS is just being cruel. They have their shipment of Wave 10 stuff on display right as you come in the doors, but it's not for sale until next Thursday.

Also, the Upsilon is a lot skinnier now that I've seen it in person. Still going to love playing it though.

Throw the money on the counter, grab the merchandise and run, then come back and plead temporary insanity next Thursday. It's what they want you to do, it's their way of selling it without "selling" it. Trust me.

Next is the Upsilon's dial as it was spoiled from one source, which failed to reproduce new images and hasn't been confirmed from an additional person, take it with a huge grain of salt;

I made a javascript powered website that just assembles these dials in proper order so that you're never wondering exactly about which move is adjacent to which. Most of the maneuver progression gives us no surprise, but there were half a dozen where the order of k-turns, sloops and tallon rolls are not consistent with each other, and you'd get differing answers from different players if they were asked to guess them.

I'm just afraid we're gonna have the same distribution problems we had with the Rogue One ships - stores get like 1 of each ship and that's it.

Likely the only reason that was so bad was because they were rushing to get the stuff into stores in time for the movie, given the rest of the wave is only just coming now nearly two months later. It's been quite a while now since a proper X-wing release had major distribution issues, I think it should be fine.

I would really like to share your optimistic outlook, but considering I finally got my Tie Striker last week, still haven't seen the U Wing, any of the new wave of armada, no campaign for armada and no new expansion packs for imperial assault I believe I'll keep expecting the same distribution issues. Located in the southeast US.

Where are yo located? We've had a surplus of the Striker and at least enough U wings to meet demand in Atlanta, but a buddy lives in Savannah and has been waiting for his shop to fill his U wing Preorder for a month, which hasn't happened yet.

Yay! Can't wait! I've got $15 store credit burning a hole in my pocket, and I just about convinced myself to buy another TIE Striker tonight, but now I think I'll hold out for Sabine's TIE. Maybe. Either way, my wife owes my the Upsilon for Christmas, and I can hardly contain my excitement!

I'm still weirded out by the fact that the Quadjumper doesn't have 1-banks, but has every other speed-1 maneuver. That's going to be so weird.

I've tried a triple Jakku + spacetug list and I think Asajj and yes it was weird to fly, everything must be planned out and deliberate.

I'm located in north Alabama near Huntsville. I was sitting with the local shop owner when he put the preorder in right after several ships that have been announced over the last couple releases here in x wing, he uses a rather large distributor and there have been supply issues all over the area. We've actually been joking about it being like the episode of Seinfeld....so you know how to take a reservation you just don't know how to keep a reservation.
