Likely the only reason that was so bad was because they were rushing to get the stuff into stores in time for the movie, given the rest of the wave is only just coming now nearly two months later. It's been quite a while now since a proper X-wing release had major distribution issues, I think it should be fine.

I would really like to share your optimistic outlook, but considering I finally got my Tie Striker last week, still haven't seen the U Wing, any of the new wave of armada, no campaign for armada and no new expansion packs for imperial assault I believe I'll keep expecting the same distribution issues. Located in the southeast US.

This sounds like an issue with your FLGS's distributor. I'm located in Florida and both of my favorite FLGSs have received bunches of everything from Armada's latest waves and campaign, Imperial Assault, and 6 TIE Strikers plus a few more U-Wings.
That said, I didn't realize it was such a limited run of Rogue One X-Wing content until last night, when I found out that the 3 Strikers I purchased were half the store's stock; they sold out later that day. Man, I feel guilty about that.
