Facts are very important and those that either lie or misrepresent facts should be called out on it every single time. We live in a time where we have professional organizations that are trying to twist our understanding of facts and yes it started as political, but now it is spreading to all areas of life. I have a Bachelors in Science and I see people all the time asserting their opinions are better than my years spent in college on the very subject I studied and I will admit I don't find the whole "facts are subjective" true at all. Facts are Objective, opinions are Subjective. That is the very definition. Now misrepresenting facts is a falsehood which is a softer way of saying lie, but it is still a lie. People found to misrepresent facts should be called out, but believing another lie because someone else misrepresented the facts is honestly the lazy and dangerous way to react. You have to take the high road and find the truth and realize misrepresentation of facts is wrong but it started with a fact that was true. Find that truth before you cling to an outright lie.
Now back to the game purpose. We all have opinions on what we like and dislike about the game, and that is a perfect example of a diverse community which is good. But we can not state these opinions as being a right to declare you have authority to change the game or community. That is tearing the calm nature of the community apart and tossing us into an argumentative group. We haven't heard from FFG for a while so we are all bored and we are looking for new discussions to keep our interests going but we should be more selective on what we say. (I am no perfect example because I am reactionary as hell from time to time.) We should be talking Strategy and Tactics which usually brings us together to discuss the ins and outs of the game and less time on rules changes which divides us into camps. And it's not the community's responsibility to change rules unless the company has been neglective to the community.
I don't see FFG being neglective at all.
