Need rule clarification on Focus Die

I was playing someone that used a focus die (a) to change another die (b) to a focus, with the new focus die (b) he proceeded to use it in the same action to change more die. Is this legal? My understanding is that you wouldn't be able to use the new focus die (b) until a new action since it wasn't rolled that way and just became a focus. Couldn't find this in the FAQ either. Thanks

It is legal.

You think this is confusing and irritating? Just wait until someone uses the Datapad special to change any other die they've already rolled in to special, and then resolve it immediately.

OMG thanks guys, this seems like it shouldn't be legal but hey it's in the rules thanks. I didn't see that before but I read the rules over a month ago so that's maybe why.
