I will frame my question as a series of actions.

Theoretically I have Raymus on Tantive IV. Ahsoka is on a Pelta within distance 1-5.

I reveal the command dial (let's say squadron) for the Tantive IV. Raymus activates giving the squadron token to Tantive IV. I use Ahsoka to swap the token for something else (say engineering), then trigger the Tantive IV ability after she has changed it (her text says "ship may gain one command token of any type") and then slip that to the Pelta. I then use Tantive IV to slip token to the Pelta. Next I take the token from the command dial, and use Tantive IV to send that to the Pelta as well.

Does that series of effects work as I think it does?

I ask because I'm trying to make a fleet where turns 1-2 I can load up the Pelta with tokens, without losing BCC from the flotillas (2 in the list), and without Garm. Ideally I get a bunch of tokens onto the Pelta right away, using Ahsoka to generate the proper command tokens I need for the rest of the game to fuel "All Fighters, Follow Me!"

Tantive IV is before you gain a command Token, to send it to another Ship...

So You reveal your Dial. Raymus grants you a Token without spending the Dial, but before you gain it , you send it to another ship.

It doesn't exist until the other ship has it.

So Ahsoka can't change it until its there.

Yes. Here is how it works:

Activate Tantive.

Flip dial.

Raymus activates.

Tantive gains a token.

Exhaust Ahsoka "during the activation of a friendly ship".

Discard the token on Tantive.

Ahsoka goes to give Tantive the replacement token, but is interrupted by...

Activating the Tantive title "before you gain a command token" from Ahsoka.

Pass the token to the Pelta with Tantive.

Declare that you're taking a token instead of spending your command dial.

Go to give the Tantive the token, but is interrupted by...

Activating the Tantive title "before you gain a command token" from your dial.

Pass the token to the Pelta with Tantive.
