[HotAC] T-70 build

By Stefan, in X-Wing Squad Lists

Hi guys,

I'm currently at PS7, flying a T70 in HotAC (Battlestar Pallas campaign) and trying to find the "ideal" combo for my mods and EPT. Currently, I have the following equipped:

Mods:

- Vectored Thrusters

- Autothrusters

- Experimental Interface

EPT:

- Push the Limit

- Hobbie Klivian

- Marksmanship

Systems:

- Advanced Sensors

- Sensor Jammers

Tech:

- Pattern Analyzer

Mech:

- Targeting Astromech

Torpedoes:

- Proton

Title:

- Black One

So, the idea is the following. Using the plethora of repositioning actions that I enjoy in that build, combined with Advanced Sensors, means that I'm pretty much always at Range 1 for that additional die, and oftentimes out of the enemy arc (enemies farther away have real problems hitting me with Autothrusters and Sensor Jammers, and turrets especially miss every shot outside Range 2). But the combination is not yet ideal, for the following dilemma presents itself.

When I fly a red maneuver, my stress vanishes almost instantly (because I gain a TL, which with Hobbie discards the stress). I can then take an action, Push the Limit and use the Experimental Interface, netting me two stress. One of those I'll lose when I spend the TL, but the other I keep. Now, that's not good. In a previous iteration of the build, I had Keyan Farlander instead of Marksmanship, which lets me discard a stress to essentially be a Focus token, which is nice, but then my build removes more stress than I can possibly gain (3 versus 2) and the Experimental Interface is useless, and I don't know what Modification I can usefully equip (other than boring Shield Upgrades). I can't equip both, though, because I "only" have three EPT and will gain the last one only at level 9, which in the confines of the campaign is a dubious proposition anyway.

So, no matter which upgrade combination I choose, I either remove one stress too much or one too few. Anyone's got any idea out of this dilemma? Or do you think that with the Pattern Analyzer, this isn't that much of a deal anyway?
