Apologies if this is a duplicate but I've trawled the internet and come up empty handed.

Scenario: Thane has a target lock on an enemy attacking Biggs. Now, Thane has M9-G8.

My question is, even though Thane isn't being attacked, but Biggs is, and Thane has a TL on the enemy attacking, can I still force him to re-roll one dice?

I'm asking because it states: 'When a ship you have locked is attacking, you may choose 1 attack die. The attacker must reroll that die.

You can acquire target locks on other friendly ships.'

Now it doesn't say anything about forcing a re-roll on a ship that has the TL being attacked, just 'when a ship you have locked is attacking'.

Am I on the ball or complete off? Thanks in advance!

You're on the ball.

Do what the card says. Don't do what it doesn't say. It says 'when a ship you have locked is attacking' without any restriction as to who that attack is against.

So, that's when it gives you the option to force rerolls - either when a locked friendly is attacking an enemy, or a locked enemy is attacking a friendly.
