As a droid tech, if I wanted to increase one of the remote type droid or the marksman h droid what's the procedure. I'd like int to go from 1 to 2 or 3

Build a new chassis and roll 1 Triumph or 4 advantages to pick superior hardware. You could use the Triumph / 3 advantages option and use cybernetics instead. Might be sometimes rather hard to build better custom chassis than the industrial produced ones.

You could as well just upgrade the droid with cybernetics.

Either way, it is gonna cost you.

The droid rules don't allow it, presumably to prevent someone from taking a top-end droid and maximizing it. Droid Techs should generally expect to have numerous low quality droid helpers that they boost through Speaks Binary.

Sure you can. Cyberware is a clear modification, and narratively it makes little difference is you sell the old chassis or salvage it for parts to reduce the cost on the new chassis. Mechanically it is simple enough.

Expensive, sure, but nothing that a basic tech couldn't do with a power driver and a leisurely afternoon.

that is not lesgends 3PO flat out states in ESB when they are in the asteroid belt shut down.

It's definitely possible to upgrade a Droid, make it a custom cybernetic brain for one point of intellect increase. Then use Reroute Processors on it as required to get the extra Intellect you need.

You could ask your GM and see if they say 'yes'.

modifying droids is a very slippery slope I would suggest that the default answer is no.

That being said what I would do is ask to use the droid you have for parts of a chasis build a new chasis and maintain the core memory if you roll high enough on the chasis you could get into 2 or 3. The prequels unfortunately show that the same personality can be mounted on different chasis a la that horrible c3po scene.
