On The Lam clarifications

By Core, in Imperial Assault Rules Questions

On The Lam states:

Use while defending, before the attacker applies modifiers, to interrupt to perform a move.

Q1: As far as timing is concerned, is On The Lam played before or after the attacker plays any modifier command cards? For example, the attacker uses Assassinate and Deadeye. Is it still possible for me to play On The Lam?

Q2: If On The Lam, is played and the defender moves out of sight, what happens to conditions such as Focus and Hidden? Is the attack considered missed and they lose those conditions?

1: As the card says, it happens before modifiers. Players need to allow reasonable time for reactions.

2: The attack misses. The focus was used with the roll. The hidden is discarded per the rules.

Treat it as if you targeted a far target and didn't get enough accuracy.

1. Before the attack Step 4. Apply Modifiers.

2. The attack misses, the target suffers 0 damage. Perform relevant after the attack resolves abilities. The focused and hidden conditions are discarded as per the instructions in their condition cards.

ยท During an attack, if a figure ends its movement such that the attacker no longer has line of sight to the target, the attack misses.
