TO VICTORY!

Nice picture.

I'm mostly impressed by the fact that you have managed to keep the antenna from breaking off. . .

That just makes me love the VSD even more

You mean the glue isn't showing up in that pic?

Because, let me tell you: there is glue, there.

That sucker breaks off ALL the **** time. (Note to FFG: next time you release a model like this, please include a 'spares' sprue of a dozen extra antennas, thx!)

How is that even possible?

Have you tried doing something with forced perspective and the VSD? A small swarm of TIEs from X-wing in the middle ground, outside the hyperfocal band of the VSD wide open, maybe?

I keep meaning to give something like this a go, but I always get distracted, or end up not having the time to set it up.

Junk posting, but...man, do I loves me how awesome that ship looks (and photographs) in the game...

Although the ISD pic I took when playing around with the same LED light seems to be more popular, I'm just all "meh" about it. I mean...the ISD is cool and all, but...DAT VSD, THO!

Would love to see any glamor shots others have managed of these beauts...

Is the light internal or are you shining one onto it?

Just shining an external light onto it for the shot - ergo the light spilling basically all over the place.

Basically far too much into 'crazy'-land trying to mod them wi...

I made a whole thread of it.

...HOLY JIBBERS CRABST, DUDE!?!

Wow, that's...those are amazing!

I...no, I really don't have the patience or skill for that. Heck, I don't even paint them. Pic taken above is just 'setting up the camera light sources right' and snapping a shot!

Absolutely stunning.

Like. Like. Like.

That'd be cooler if it was a Venator.

(but **** good work sir)

Expect it'd have the same issues I have run into trying the effect on Rebel ships - the engines sticking out from the hull makes the lighting look...messier. With the VSD and ISD, the back of the ship is semi-enclosed around the engines, which catches the light and prevents it spilling out all over the place - it basically creates a 'shadow' onto the rest of the hull where the light doesn't shine.

Very, very hard to do that with engines 'sticking out'.

Do you have a venator mini?

Well, no. I'm sure we'll get one at some point, though, but...

...really, it's just looking at the design of the ship that has me reaching that conclusion. Do have a number of Rebel ships, and you run into the same sort of problem with, say, Home One. Engines without a 'frame' around them are difficult to cast believable light on externally.

Gottmittuns does.

Dat a**....

That's aft you dirty people. Shame!

I like big thrust and I cannot lie...
