I wanted to be able to reuse my Corellian Conflict map and stickers in the future, but also still wanted to be able to fold up and transport the map to and from the store. Framed maps are awesome, but not ideal for moving around.
Materials:
CC Map
CC Stickers
Velcro mini fastener dots from Michael's (3/8" diameter, 56 count, $3.49)
A pile of extra objective tokens (we all have them...)
1. Stick the soft fuzzy Velcro dots to the back of the objective tokens (45 or 50 should be more than enough)
2. Stick the CC stickers to the fronts of the objective tokens (7 Imperial bases, 4 Rebel bases, 12 Rebel outposts, 16 Rebel presence, and a handful of destroyed base stickers)
3. Stick the stiff hooked Velcro dots to each of the 25 sticker placement circles on the CC map (you'll need to offset a few of them so that they are well off of the map's folds)
4. Give the Velcro dots ~15 minutes to get good and glued, and you should be good to go! Carry all the extra tokens in a bag and take with you.
I tested larger Velcro pieces that fit the map circles and tokens/stickers more exactly, but they ended up being a bit too strong and I was worried about warping the map as I pulled tokens off. The 3/8" diameter Velcro dots I used are weaker, but still strong enough that your tokens should remain secured unless you shake the map vigorously.
This isn't the perfect solution, but was pretty quick and painless and works for me.
