Saw Gerrera Crew in Phantom II

Just guessing we will get a Phantom II in the next wave, which would be a great time to get a Saw Gerrera crew card..

Any thoughts on how his card will read ?

I was thinking something along the lines of..

At the end of the combat phase take one damage to your ships hull to give one ion token to any ship in your firing arc to range 3. (2 pt crew)

Any thoughts on stats for the Phantom II ?

I'm betting 2 att, 2 def, 3 hull, 1 shield. It might have better shields since it was kind of a command style shuttle, but that's iffy.

I agree that Saw's ability should have a self destructive element, though I'm very tempted to bump up his cost so he can assign two ion token, though that might be too much.

Hmm. Maybe make him make ships keep ion tokens, like Ketsu crew does with tractor beam tokens?

Also, adding to the questions, what pilots for the new Phantom? I'm betting on a Rebel Fenn Rau as one.

Saw Gerrera crew card eventually seems likely. Phantom II - eh. I kind of hope not, TBH. It's not a good looking ship, and the rebels crew are already everywhere. And the rebels don't need another two attack ship with uninspiring upgrade options.

But, this is the company that gave us Sabine's TIE, so I won't rule anything out. :|

Well, the Phantom II version has front AND rear guns, so this might be an interesting opportunity to give Tailgunner a new home. For pilots, I personally think Kanan or Chopper should get doubled up - give some interesting options in a smaller, lighter ship. Maybe give it a generic because it'd be the "Sheathipede Shuttle" first and Phantom II second. I will say, the Phantom II would probably have to run the line between what the Rebel TIE and the ARC are supposed to do. FFG can turn the Quadjumper into an interesting ship choice, and given that Rebels is pretty popular (and a regular source of new canon material) AND the shuttle design has appeared before, it's likely to show up in. It would necessitate a different version of the Ghost title also, though. Hey, it's a light shuttle, lands in tight spaces, maybe it could even experiment with some reverse maneuvers like the Quad? Don't hold me to any of that, though. FFG seems to like to bring in various new design space elements broadly across a whole wave, so a Phantom II pack might fit in with another mechanic and design space entirely.

Also, as it would be a ship which would pack crew - if the new world champion does create a Yoda or Obiwan card as I believe he said he was interested in doing, this might be an ideal, period appropriate opportunity for it to show up.

Kanan can hear TIE Fighters in space, I don't think the lore thing will actually matter much to him. They could give him a new ability, though - it would just be unprecedented.

If they call it a "Sheathipede attack Shuttle", and the title "Phantom 2", the Ghost title could be used to equip a shuttle with either "Phantom" or "Phantom 2" title.

In fact, if they call the ship "Sheathipede Attack Shuttle", they could get away with a title or modification that's "Attack Shuttle" only and it would work for both. That could be very fun. :)

How about a play on Ruthlessness for Saw. "When you perform a primary weapon attack that hits you MUST deal 1 damage to each ship at range 1 of the defender." 3 or 4 points. You get to deal your target an additional damage but if you attack at range 1 you are taking a damage yourself along with any other ship at range 1 of the defender. He wants to hurt the Empire and doesn't care who gets hurt in the process.

I would really like phantom 2 with alternate title and pumped ps ezra and new ezra crew to show his development (i would go fo reverse lando that destroys tokens on hit, ezra likes risk and is unpredictable) Saw gerrera and rebel fenn rau sound like fun idea too.

It's a mouthful, but I guess it works based on how previous upgrades are phrased. They would both be "Attack Shuttle", and you could make Phantom II only stuff still.

Having only started watching Rebels and never really hearing of Saw until I saw Rogue One but I think it would be nice to have him as a title card:

Saw (crew, rebel only) should be the combination of Dengar and Zuckuss for 4 points, but with the condition that by turn 6, Saw becomes displeased with your "weak" performance and decides to take matters into his own hands and the ship he is on joins the enemy, in the attack phase.
